Malki-Coup
Coup almost toppled Malki’s cabinet - MP
Baghdad, Oct 1, (VOI) – A coup almost toppled Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Malki’s government over the last two days, the Iraqi legislator Baha’ al-A’raji said on Sunday.
“Al-Malki’s government has survived a coup planned by Saddamists and Islamic extremists who wanted to send a clear message to the Iraqi government of their presence in Iraq,” Parliamentarian Baha’ al-A’raji, of Unified Iraqi Coalition, told reporters.
The legislator said : “a confidence crisis is spanning among the Iraqi Prime Minster Nouri al-Maliki and his deputy Salam al-Zwba’i and a vice-president, whom not specified by A’raji.”
“The Iraqi government is living a real crisis and it needs reshuffle, otherwise the situation in Iraq will continue worsening,” A’raji added.
The parliamentarian threatened to submit his resignation if a government reshuffle was not made.
“The reshuffle should include among others a ministry within the Unified Iraqi Coalition quota. That ministry was partly a cause of a deteriorated situation in Iraq due to a shortage of petrol and else,” A’raji said indirectly referring to the Oil ministry.
The legislator A’raji also accused the Iraqi government of being behind the deteriorated situation in Iraq.
“What has led to a deteriorated Iraq is the national unity, democratic and national reconciliation government brought about by the Americans and which included among its members some Islamic extremists,” A’raji added.
Only recently, A’raji pointed out, explosives were found in a well known law maker’s house , explosives that were used to make car bombs and charges.
“These accusations were confirmed with clear evidence, which I do not have but surely the government would have, including CDs , photos and trigger devices,” A’raji said.
The U.S. army arrested a suspect working as a body guard with Legislator Adnan al-Duleimi, head of the Sunni Iraqi Accordance Front.
The U.S. army said in a statement the arrest was based on reliable intelligence the suspect was planning along with sevens others to blow up a car bomb inside the green zone in Baghdad.
The U.S army statement also accused the arrested body guard of association with Qaeda in Iraq armed group.

New mass kidnap in Iraq as PM pushes peace plan

By Alastair Macdonald

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Uniformed gunmen kidnapped people from computer stores in Baghdad on Monday as the prime minister, racing to avert civil war, presented a plan to halt sectarian violence by forming local committees and controlling the media.

The Central Committee for Peace and Security would manage relations among new local committees in the capital comprising rival political factions and local leaders, Nuri al-Maliki said.

A further key point would be new supervision of the media.

Welcome to the freedom and democracy that the US is spreading. What kills me, KILLS ME, is last night I was looking at some pictures that a person put up of Iran. You should read some of the stupid shit that these people who still support this country's actions were saying.

Once again I am moving out of the numb zone into the anger zone.

Here is that site. Iran has some really beautiful places, of course the only thing that they show on the news here are the dirt mounds and they find the worst sort of people that they can as representatives for this country.

Heavens, I wonder if Rove and Cheney have seen these pictures. If so, it'll make them salivate to destroy such beauty. Why, underneath that stadium there might lurk some oil! Remember how Iraq was depicted in Farenheit 9/11? Beautiful, peaceful, properous markets, happy people, children playing in parks, etc. ALL cities have slums and criminals. Yet, Americans think that America is so privileged it's supposed to be the only country entitled to peace and prosperity.

Just more propoganda.

I remember when the msm were covering the Eric Rudolph story. The media set up camp in my beautiful area of the NC mountains and found some toothless, illiterate, snuff-dipping, tobacco-chewing idiots to be interviewed. These brainless twits said that Rudolph had been right to bomb that abortion clinic and that he was a hero in their eyes (spit).

The reporters took their cameras along the mountain roads and focused mainly on the hardscrabble trailer parks and shacks. They made us all look like a cast especially designed for a remake of "Deliverance."

What they did not report was that many FBI agents were buying lakefront property and mountain property awfully fast. One of them even married a local girl...one with teeth, didn't dip or chew, lived in a nice home, and was fairly literate. :D

Lol, I get a lot of this about being from Maine. Every single job I go to there is always one idiot who says:

"Did you know that the tooth brush was invented in Maine?" "If it was invented anyplace else, it would have been called a Teeth Brush"

Ahhahahah. I laugh with my big toothless smile. lol.

Just kidding, I have 2 teeth left.
