Quote:
The war was not my distraction, my job was. The end of this war is my mission. I have gone past the state of anger. I am motivated by pure love. Love of my fellow man and woman. I want the pain to cease. I want the sadness to end. I want the killing to end. My son will never be the same. I will never be the same. I beg of you my good peopleā€¦do what you can and then do even more. We are paying a high cost. Just ask Cindy or Summer or Beth or Stacey or Celeste, etc. the list goes on and on. And another Mother cries out somewhere in the darkness for her child that is never coming home.

When you are right you cannot be too radical;
when you are wrong, you cannot be too conservative.

Until the War ends I will be out here in the frontlines of peace.

Could it be because this kind of agony is from women who are crying out about this awful, illegal, and unjust war?

The Bush administration doesn't like strong, opinionated women who are willing to stand up against the prez and his henchmen in support of bringing the troops home. Women who are Bush supporters are Faux News saturated and/or have something to gain from his policies... probably money and status, or else they're just too ignorant and detached to care what he's doing to them, to their children, and to their very lives.

I often wonder how a mother with a child serving in the hell of Iraq could possibly still support this neanderthal.

Quote:
President Bush's May 2003 announcement aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln that "major combat operations" had ended in Iraq has been replayed endlessly. What is less well remembered is just what the president claimed the United States had accomplished. "The battle of Iraq is one victory in a war on terror that began on September the 11th, 2001," he declared. The defeat of Saddam Hussein, he told the American people, was "a crucial advance in the campaign against terror." In fact, the consensus now emerging among a wide range of intelligence and counterterrorism professionals is that the opposite is true: The invasion of Iraq not only failed to help the war on terrorism, but it represented a substantial setback.

Great article Catherine.

I don't mean to slander anyone here, but there are more strong women than strong men. I see these men strutting around with their war clothing, driving huge vehicles with Bush stickers plastered on them and wonder why they are not in Iraq. They love the war, they love who makes war, why are they spending their time at shops that sell war video games rather than doing the real thing?

I wear my Dem buttons and when I am sneared at by these war lovers, I ask them that very question. They either get belligerent and wave their arms around, or they get out of there as fast as their strong manly legs can take them.

Cowards, every one of them. Wanting others to die so they can drive pollution machines!
