Here's an article that argues the power and influence that the neo-con agenda has over policy. Could this be the actual formula that led us into Iraq?

http://zfacts.com/p/775.html
Reasons for Iraq War: Bush or Cheney?
The 9 Iraq-War Planners Surrounding Bush
and their PNAC / IASPS backgrounds-

Like gonerail said in another post in "Our constitutional freedoms"- How fast could Chertoff type to get that patriot act out so quickly- faster than anyone could read it, obviously?

Quote:
Summary of Reasons for Iraq War: The two fundamental reasons are (1) Oil, and (2) Israel. But the mechanical reasons are (1) the neocon lobby, (2) Cheney as VP, and (3) Bush's desire to prove himself and best his father. The neocons discuss mainly on the needs of Israel (the WMD they were truely concerned about were Scuds aimed at Israel), but Cheney and Rumsfeld may be more focussed on oil.

Middle East domination, and the belief that might makes right.

We just cannot continue to fight wars like that.

It will "kill us" (figuratively) in the end.

The neocons have a vision of transforming the world, and I would argue that vision has failed utterly. Their policies have failed in Iraq, in the Middle East, and in the U.S.

they're not gonna give up though.

the soon coming police state in this country will help them to ensure thier failed agenda gets more time to come to fruition.

the more i hear from the bushicons and bush and cheney in particular, the more i'm inclined to think they have no intention whatsoever to sit idely by and watch the landslide power shift back over to the democrats next year. the staged terror event that they so desperately need will take place thus enableing them to rule indefinitely under the guise of the patriot act.

yeah the neocons have sold most americans a bag of lies but it certainly doesn't mean they're gonna stop trying.

I agree with Rooster. The neocons are not going to stop their world domination madness. They are like the Terminator in the movie. They will not die, even if you nuke them first

Something people have to realize is this: the neocons represent the guys with the power and the money and the will. That is a tough combination to beat - and it is most likely unbeatable. This is not a statement of desperation, just a truthful declaration. Remember, these guys were around and operating even when Clinton was president. They just go dormant when they lose, but they never disappear. They wait in the shadows and strike when the timing is right. That is the way they function. They are ruthless and will do anything to win. Anything.

You might as well know what you are dealing with. Sort of like hunting an animal and knowing about his habits, etc.

Pleasant dreams and don't have any nightmares about neocons. Ha ha ha aha
