Pickens must now be considered a traitor among fellow oilmen since he is pushing for other forms of energy. I have seen a steady stream of TV ads where he advocates wind power for 20% of domestic electricity, something that would be good for the country but bad for oil company profit levels. He seems savy and has the entire thing laid out at http://www.pickensplan.com/ .
All that said; the Switftboat attacks were unconscionable. They were designed to tip the balance of the election to allow the stealing of 2004 not really the winning.
