Who needs a repub Truth Squad, when you've got Charlie Gibson?
So, Palin has her interview with that guy, and The Nation
comments on this moment:
Palin was weakest when Gibson asked whether she subscribed to "the Bush doctrine" – which says the U.S. can invade pretty much any country that it likes. The governor was obviously unfamiliar with the doctrine. And Gibson, embarrassingly for a journalist trying to display his chops, let her get away with a bumbling attempt to talk her way out of the corner.
He doesn't "pitch softballs" at her, but then again, he doesn't pitch it fast, either.
