Yep, Liberman has just thrown in the towel.

Bad news. The asshole has pretty much said that he will definitely run as an independent.

Here is the deal. Right now, there is for all intents and purposes no viable republican candidate, so here is what is the prediction of what will happen. (yes, this is just a prediction, though an informed one. There is a lot of time for things to change on this one)

It makes sense now of the reasoning behind the republican support for Liberman. Liberman will win in November. Why? Because, among dem's, this was a tight race. In November the reps will be voting also, and they will vote for Liberman. This should make it a landslide for Joe.
Lamont will not have a chance.

This bullshit of having the ability to change party affiliation AFTER you have lost is bullshit, and just shows how fucked up this system is.

I believe both Clintons said they would back whoever won the Democratic primary.

They did. If it were to be another democratic primary, I wouldnt be worried. Lamont would win again in november. This time though, the republicains are pretty much going to have 2 choices. Lamont, or Liberman. Who has the repubs been supporiting? Who do you think that they are going to vote for?

With pure dems Lamont won by just over 3 percent. Thats not alot. The only way that Lamont has a chance is if Liberman droped dead of a heart attack. Hate to be a party pooper, but I can see it.

Yeah yeah....cant tell the future and all that crap. I know, I know. I do hope I'm wrong, but I wouldnt bet on it.

We have to continue to work no matter what we believe our chances are. Conn. is going to be a bumpy ride! A LOT is going to be going on between now and November.

Yes, Rove called Lieberman last night. Doesn't that warm your heart? All the Rs are lining up behind him.
