So if I lived close enough to Ohio, say New York I could vote in New York in the morning, drive to Ohio by the afternoon, sign a paper saying I believe I have the right to vote, vote and then drive back to New york and if New York goes provisional, vote once again, saying I lost my wallet in both places.

Am I right or reading more into then there is? If so multiply that by a couple thousand people from all the states around Ohio and hmmmm.

In Ohio, you HAVE TO BE REGISTERED, LISTED IN THE BOOKS, AND do the above that justinmoon22 posted. If you are a 70 year old woman, no longer drive a car so your liscense has expired, all your bills are in your husband's name, you cannot prove who you are, therefore, you CANNOT, vote.

That's a wake-up call right there! Women should have their own identity separate from their husbands, regardless of their age. But try to tell some of the women in their late 60s, 70s, and older....too many of them are still subordinate to their husbands, even if those husbands are long dead.

My mother all of her life signed her checks as Mrs. (Dad's first and last name.) That was so strange to me.

Ooooops, if you can provide the last four digits of your soc. sec. number you can cast a "provisional" ballot.

After all the envelopes of they found of "uncounted" ballots (provisional) in 2004 I seriously doubt if they will be counted this time either.

I heard on a radio talk show that it is our right to remain at the polls and watch the votes being counted. I do no have time to research this. Does anyone know if this is true? If so, I am staying at mine and watching them count the votes. If found to be true, I will do everything in my power to get people to stay at ALL voting places in Ohio and watch the votes being counted.

In 2004 ballots were taken to other counties to be counted. They circumvented the law by having different counties count each other's votes. In some counties, Bush was first - in other counties Kerry was first. This is how they pulled it off in Ohio.

First thought that came to my mind--how many provisional ballots will be counted. Most likely, none! You can drive all over hell's half acre, and all you will do is waste a day and your gasoline.

Back when I was in local politics, we could watch the vote being counted and many times I was there for that count. Have no idea if that is true today, but seriously doubt it. The 'cons' have us screwed.

Will someone please watch this video and tell me what it conatians?

I just posted this so all the ppl who say the provisional ballots crap is a myth could see im not lying like they're leader. All u conservatives out there say we democrats were sore losers when we cried foul over provisional ballots. Well, put the shoe on the other foot. Hmmmmmmm I think we would hear alot of bitching pissing and moaning about unconstitutional doings and its all liberals fault, right???? You know its right. Well here's your proof. Sleep on it, and ask yourself "how would I feel"? You'd be pissed too. I find the double standard quite funny. We'll see in 08. Oh there will be a recount....you can bet on it. I have a gut feeling that the other side will demand a recount.

i saw a report on cbs news last night in which a company ran some election simulations on the dieblod electronic machines.

they used the 2 hypothetical candidates of george washington vs benedict arnold.

into the test they decided to use some sort of system hacking virus designed to attack the voting program to see if the system firewalls would adequately protect the voting program.

they then attempted to run the same voting simulation as before in which washington won every time and it was validated that wash was who they voted for the 1st time.

after the hack the system showed that benedict won 2 out of 3 times. not the result that the vote simulation intended.

the sysyem hack by a virus was quite successful and definitely proves that our new voting system is completely vulnerable.

hitler would be very proud of the job the neocons are doing in thier quest for absolute power.
