for all repug candidates................

.............pink floyds, dogs of war

dogs of war and men of hate

wish no cause, we don't discriminate

discovery is to be disowned

our currency is flesh and bone

hell opened up and put on sale

gather round and haggle

for hard cash, we will lie and decieve

even our masters don't know the web we weave

one world, it's a battle ground

one world, and we will smash it down

one world........one world

invisible transfers, long distance calls,

hollow laughter in marble halls

step have been taken, a silent uproar

has unleashed the dogs of war

you can't stop what has begun

signed, sealed, they deliver oblivion

we all have a dark side, to say the least

and dealing in death is the natureof the beast

one world, it's a battleground

one world and we will smash it down

one world........one world

the dogs of war won't negotiate

the dogs of war don't capitulate,

they will take and you will give,

and you must die so that they may live

you can knock on any door,

but wherever you go, you know they've been there before

well winners can lose and things can get strained

but whatever you change, you know the dogs remain.

one world it's a battleground

one world, and we will smash it down

one world.....................one world

from floyds 1987 album, a momentary lapse of reason

this could also work as halliburtons theme song

Good choice rooster. I also liked "On The Turning Away" from Floyd as well-

On the turning away
From the pale and downtrodden
And the words they say
Which we won't understand
Dont accept that whats happening
Is just a case of others suffering
Or youll find that you're joining in
The turning away

Its a sin that somehow
Light is changing to shadow
And casting its shroud
Over all we have known
Unaware how the ranks have grown
Driven on by a heart of stone
We could find that were all alone
In the dream of the proud

On the wings of the night
As the daytime is stirring
Where the speechless unite
In a silent accord
Using words you will find are strange
And mesmerized as they light the flame
Feel the new wind of change
On the wings of the night

No more turning away
From the weak and the weary
No more turning away
From the coldness inside
Just a world that we all must share
Its not enough just to stand and stare
Is it only a dream that there'll be
No more turning away?

How many candidates and leaders sing this song. Too Bad So sad. :?

I saw them live in 1988 at an outdoor concert during this tour. It was a fantastic album, but what was unique about the show was the volume- they were so loud that they were ordered to finish their concert before 11 pm. It was so loud, they heard it 5 miles away and it was estimated at 130+ decibels. We were way up in the stands and I could feel my organs moving inside from the sound waves.

The pig was flying that nite. Animals!!

Giuliani's Campaign Theme Song

Former New York mayor Giuliani is always entertaining, and he hasn’t disappointed. The most remarkable aspect of his candidacy is its complete immunity from anything that has actually happened in the last five years. For Rudy, it’s still 9/12 and always will be. And why not? He hasn’t felt so significant since – although his speaking fees have. He has no qualms about Iraq. It’s simple, after all. We just have to win.

His entire analysis of the war on terror can be reduced to the notion that we stay "on offense". Offense means anything aggressive, it appears. He wouldn’t rule out a nuclear strike on Iran, for example. He endorses “any methods necessary” to extract information from anyone who might seem like a terrorist.

He spoke of two recent terror plots – one involving a handful of loons who wanted to invade a military base, another a crew of Caribbeans who dreamt of blowing up JFK airport (they had no weapons and no firm plans) – as if they were an imminent threat to America’s very existence.

As his eyes flash through his wire-rim glasses, and he bobs up and down on his shiny corporate shoes, you can just see him drooling over the chance to fire a few missiles, round up a few immigrants, strip a few more Americans of habeas corpus rights and nuke Tehran. This is the man, remember, who banned ferret-ownership and jaywalking in New York City. Next stop: Falluja. Piece of cake.

Sullivan's right, for Rudy "it's still 9/12 and always will be." It reminds of the now classic Onion headline: Giuliani to Run For President of 9/11. And it got me thinking. Hillary Clinton recently held a contest to select the theme song for her campaign. With Giuliani there's no need for a contest. The choice is obvious: "Stuck in a Moment" by U2.

Jay Leno: "Hillary Clinton has picked 'You and I,' by Celine Dion, as her campaign theme song. In a related story, John McCain's campaign song also by Celine Dion. It's the theme from 'Titanic.'"

Have any of you ever read/listened to the book/CD "Sixteen Scandals: A Musical Comedy of Errors from the Capitol Steps" ?

If you can find it, buy it. It's hilarious.

For Rudy Guilinai, I'd choose the song "Who Let the Dogs Out?" by Baha Men. Rudy's an insult to the dogs.

For McCain, I'd choose "Lightning's Striking Again" since he's so much like Bush. (In the book mentioned, the parody is entitled "The Right Wing's Striking Again.")

It's Not Easy Choosing Themes

-- Joe Heim

RUDY GIULIANI

Song: Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning), Alan Jackson

Why: Because remember where I was? I was the mayor? Of New York? On 9/11? Have I mentioned that?

Sample lyric: "I'm just a singer of simple songs/ I'm not a real political man/ I watch CNN but I'm not sure I can tell you/ The difference in Iraq and Iran."

MITT ROMNEY

Song: Hatchet, Low

Why: This song by this critically acclaimed Mormon indie-rock band may be just the inspiration your campaign needs to reach out to blue-state America.

Sample lyric: "Let's bury the hatchet like the Beatles, the Beatles and the Stones/ Like the Beatles, the Beatles and the Stones."

JOHN McCAIN

Song: Straight Talk, Dolly Parton

Why: Your campaign needs a little mantra refresher.

Sample lyric: "Don't talk to me in circles in some mumbo-jumbo jive/ Gimme just straight talk, straight talk and we're gonna be alright."

Leave The White House! Bush, You’ve Failed!
(Sung to the tune of “A White Shade Of Pale” by Procul Harum)

(organ intro)

The Ripper, Bush, has strangled…
Our democracy; no more.
All while stealing power, he’s sick.
His crowd calls out, “More war!”

His doom is coming, harder.
Through elections, he will pay.
He’ll be thrown out; and his power we’ll shrink.
He’ll face impeachment day.

And that’s because… we’ve waited…
For this killer to be jailed.
Must impeach him first, but mostly…
Leave the White House!
Bush, you’ve failed!

(organ break)

He made war for no reason.
Hid the truth, from A to Z.
Through war, plundered oil; while slaying, scarred…
Iraq, no democracy.

While Mark Foley’s weird perversions
Turn Republicans to toast.
Karl Rove, through lies, is hopin’
The next elections don’t make him a ghost.

And that’s because… we’ve waited…
For this killer to be jailed.
Must impeach him first, but mostly…
Leave the White House!
Bush, you’ve failed!

(organ break)

And that’s because… we’ve waited…
For this killer to be jailed.
Must impeach him first, but mostly…
Leave the White House!
Bush, you’ve failed!

(instrumental ending)

Shania Twain - Man! I Feel Like A Woman!

I'm going out tonight-I'm feelin' alright
Gonna let it all hang out
Wanna make some noise-really raise my voice
Yeah, I wanna scream and shout
No inhibitions-make no conditions
Get a little outta line
I ain't gonna act politically correct
I only wanna have a good time

Oh could I Pleaaaaaaaaaas write a song and post it here. A song that covers nearly ALL of the politicians?? Pretty please??!!!

Some names I could think of.

Stabbed in the back

You sold us out

Money Hungry whores

Who's money is that?

You really bought the lies?

Just a bunch of fools

How dumb can you be?

Pay attention

You never listen

You don't understand

Pre-Emptive WAR, what a beautiful sight

And my favorite that I dedicate to all of those who are still being deceived,

I forgive you again and again. (Battered)

I am sorry if I sound harsh, but where are the principles?
Do you really believe that the democrat's were fooled into this mess?

Anyone who voted for this war to begin with are guilty at the very least in a dereliction of duty if not Treason against not only our country, but against the people of the world and through the continued use of depleted uranium, the world itself.

How many of us, through those who DID tell the truth, had seen through the smoke screen?

And now, how many of these people are still willing to attack Iran. FOR WHAT??? How many of these people are still going to support Israel no matter what?

I guess it does not matter. We are still in the beginning stages of WWIII (or WWIIII depending on how you look at it) We have not even begun to see the horrors that we have unleashed.

We have lit the tinderbox. Do you really, REALLY think that these people are ever going to forgive us?

We can cry all we want that we had nothing to do with this, wanted nothing to do with it yet do you think this removes us from culpability?

We have allowed this. WE, that includes you and I and our parents and our grandparents have allowed this government of ours to become so corrupted that there is no fixing it.

How many time's will we say that it will be better next time. How many times will we say it will never happen again? Cant you see this?

Since the first ships arrived to the shores of this country, we have proved what we are.

All people created equal my ass. This country was founded on inequity.

From the first Native killed, to the first slave chained, to every land that we have unjustly invaded, tampered with, imposed OUR will, we have been corrupt.

Instead of holding our heads in shame and envisioning the possibility of a better reality that so many sages of old pointed to, we point the finger.

"It was you that ruined this country"!

"No, it was you"!!!

It is the Democrats!!!!
no

It is the Republicans!!!!

no

It is the Whites!!!!!

no

It is the Blacks!!!!

No

It is the Gays!!!!!

no

It is Religion!!!!!

no

It is Atheism!!!!

no

Man, this world should be the definition of insanity.

Listen guys. I'm not saying this in anger. Just a bit of frustration.

Before you vote for anyone, know if they have voted for anything that is against your principles, principles that you have come to through critical thinking, not through a gut feeling. Do not pay attention to wether they are democrat or republican, pay attention to whom they have proven themselves to be.

I cannot allow myself to see the small good's that they have done in light of the great injustices. I cannot, nor will I have any part of it.

I no longer care about America. I have come to realize that America is just a bunch of lines drawn in the sand. I have come to realize that the only person who can govern us is ourselves. I have come to realize that only through imagination of higher possibility's and a realization that we can attain these higher possibility's do we have any hope of creating a reality that is beneficial to all.

And for any nationalist who would like to jump down my throat for my statement above, don't bother. Pride in Just accomplishments are one thing, nationalism is something all together different. Nationalism is the equivalent to racism.

How can I care for only some of my brothers and sisters because of where they live? If this is not seen then I feel sorry for you.

CrimsonEagle.

"It's Howdy Rudy Time.
It's Howdy Rudy Time."

Perley Thibodeau of Manhattan, evidently no fan of Giuliani, suggested the ex-mayor adopt the theme song from "The Howdy Doody Show."

As the republican candidates eventually leave one-by-one, I like that Beyonce say to describe their exit. Maybe not the whole song, but the part that goes:

To the left. To the left?
...
And keep talking that mess, that's fine
But could you walk and talk at the same time
