The above blogger did a lot of research. It's bad news. Charles Schumer , the chairperson of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC), is a bona fide NeoCON, which is why he so vehemently supports Lieberman. Zell Miller is in the same NeoCON front group, which explains a lot about him.

Why is Schumer the DSCC Chairperson? This is repulsive. It is time for the Democrat rank and file to wake up and smell the coffee and demand his resignation from the DSCC. If Chuck looks like a duck, walks like a duck, & quacks like a duck, then...

Very interesting, yank...and I also found the comments under the link you provided to be very interesting, too. Some of those people seemed to feel as you do, and others didn't seem to think this was such a big deal.

In my opinion, anyone who supports the war yet won't come right out and say so can't be trusted to be anything except a Bushie.

I'm also convinced that Lieberman prefers to divide the Dems by trying to run as an independent should he lose the August primary to his opponent.

The Democratic party has been infiltrated by Rethugs, and now it's going to be harder and harder to weed them out.

When I was able to donate, this is one of the places to which I donated--because it backs progressive candidates. I care less about party affiliation than that a candidate be progressive--cares about people. I am not affiliated with any party--have never found one that I would care to join. But Democrats come closer to what I believe than Rs ever did.

I hate to see more and more of them moving away from my values.

Schumer has made no secret that he does not believe in extremes, either on the right or left. But he is still better than, oh darn, can't think of his name. That R who was such a jerk!

His voting record isn't perfect, far from it, but still better than Sen. What'shisname. Heaven knows what he will come out with eventually.

I am not familiar with the group you are referring to, will have to look into it when I am not so tired. Some groups do have people from the left and right, don't know if this one does or not.

Unfortunately, this opens a can of worms for Joe . We now know Lieberman has been for this war since its conception , he didn't just jump on the bandwagon after the fact, (as previously thought by many). Do we dare ask if Joe was an insider on the lies to the war?

I have no love for Joe Lieberman. Aparently Bush loves him enough, he doesn't need anymore. He is so gung-ho for the war, seems to be pretty gung-ho for anything Bush--he really creeps me out. And to run against a Dem who seems to actually have Dem values is inexcusable!

Split the party, oh yeah, my love for Lieberman knows no bounds, NOT!

Schumer has really got my radar up now. First he is part of a surreptitious NeoCON front group, then he becomes a lead speaker about open debate on Iraq?

Me thinks something's afoot !
