I just came from a Union meeting for my school district. It appears the Republicans have pretty much given up on getting Keneth Blackwell and Mike DeWine re-elected. They have stopped all campaign contributions for their re-elections.

BUT Blackwell and DeWine (and all other R's who are currently in office) have been told to free up their calendars from Nov. 8 to Dec. 24. They are going to push any and all legislation through that hurts public education during that time IF the Democrats win back Ohio.

I am not holding my breath because K. Blackwell holds all the cards to the voting in Ohio. I don't see him "allowing" himself to lose via a fair election. We still don't have "paper trails" here in Ohio.

The OEA screens (those who will accept the screening) all those running for office. They do not support ALL Democarts.

It appears we are in deep do-do if we vote for the Dems.

Wonder if this is what all states are going to do? Not only with education but anything the R's want passed that they know they can't get passed if the D's take back the house and senate?

you should email the democratic party and tell them what you just posted, and ask the same question.

here in new york, it appears that democrats should be on their way to a large victory.

I've had that same concern, sadie and mga. In fact, there's a lot of wiggle room between an election defeat and removing the family pictures from the office...between November and January.

I wouldn't put it past any losing repub to resort to a "scorched earth" policy in a heartbeat. How will the winners respond? It seems in a lot of ways, we're damned if we do, and damned if we don't.
