Men wear underwear????

The other day I was telling my boyfriend that I'd like to see how a pair of boxer-briefs looked on him...he wears boxers. He wasn't thrilled with that idea, to say the least. I told him that I thought it'd look good and be a nice change from the boxers, 'cause they kinda look dumpy in the ass. (You know how boxers do that?) He was a little offended, but at least he's not like me, and easily gets over a few insulting words. hehe ...But, anyways, I don't know if boxers are really underwear. They're more of shorts...granted you wouldn't wear them out, but still...

maybe when i'm wearing dress pants boxers are better, but most of the time my jeans are rather tight and it's impossible to wear boxers under them. i mean, hell, they bunch up and don't feel right...know what i mean? briefs are nice cause they hold everything in place.

i also have boxer-briefs which are OK, but even they start to roll up under tight jeans. now, before anyone starts asking a million questions, i'm not overweight or anything like that...i just prefer a closer fitting pair of jeans.

I still hate to wear a bra, and I HATE those awful PAP tests...but they're such an essential part of helping to detect/prevent certain types of cancer, I guess I'll continue to be subjected to them. :(

In a totalitarian society, the bra is omnipresent.

I'm a great fan of British comedy, especially the 70s show called Are You Being Served? For those who aren't familiar with the show, go HERE for some info.

One of the episodes was called German Week, in which the sales staff of Grace Brothers was supposed to sell German goods. In the Ladies' Department, one of the items that had recently arrived in large boxes to be put on display was called a BUSTENHALTER...when the boxes were opened, the sales staff were appalled at how large the things were. When they looked at the size tag of these BUSTENHALTERS, the tag said kleine, which is German for SMALL.

I agree...the comedies that are now coming from Britain don't have the same appeal as AYBS? and/or Keeping Up Appearances, at least for me.

When I retired, I gave myself a present...the entire dvd set of all the episodes of AYBS? I also included the two dvd set of GRACE and FAVOR and the AYBS? movie. Now, when I've had a hard day or just need a short period of time to shut the world out, I'll put on a dvd of AYBS? and laugh the stress away. I felt as though I'd lost a close friend when John Inman died, and the rest of the original cast are getting very old. Mollie Sugden is in her eighties and Frank Thornton is, too.

My favorite episode is STRONG STUFF, THIS INSURANCE.

Talk about bras...but that show's scripts were always making reference to some article of underwear!

No comedies are as good anymore. The new 'funny' business is being mean. There are no innocent programs--even children's cartoons are being redone with the 'mean' theme.

I envy you Catherine, having the entire AYBS series. That program is a classic.

I don't think anyone bothers to wear underwear in our 'entertainment' anymore...

Well, there's Britney...trying to sing and dance in her "underwear." :P Maybe she's used to not wearing any and that's one of the reasons she did such a poor job and was criticized so badly.
