Well, Media Matters made a list, checked it twice, and no one on it strikes me as nice or accurate. Here is a link, and some of the quotes.

Quote:

The top 11 (in chronological order):

William A. Donohue, president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights: "Well, look, there are people in Hollywood, not all of them, but there are some people who are nothing more than harlots. They will do anything for the buck. They wouldn't care. If you asked them to sodomize their own mother in a movie, they would do so, and they would do it with a smile on their face." [2/9/06]

Fox News host John Gibson: "Do your duty. Make more babies. That's a lesson drawn out of two interesting stories over the last couple of days. First, a story yesterday that half of the kids in this country under five years old are minorities. By far, the greatest number are Hispanic. You know what that means? Twenty-five years and the majority of the population is Hispanic. Why is that? Well, Hispanics are having more kids than others. Notably, the ones Hispanics call 'gabachos' -- white people -- are having fewer." [5/11/06]

Right-wing pundit Ann Coulter on The New York Times' decision to report on the Bush administration's warrantless domestic wiretapping program and a Treasury Department financial transaction tracking program: The Times had done "something that could have gotten them executed, certainly did get [Julius and Ethel] Rosenberg[] executed." [7/12/06]

Coulter responding to Hardball host Chris Matthews' question, "How do you know that [former President] Bill Clinton's gay?": "I don't know if he's gay. But [former Vice President] Al Gore -- total fag." [7/27/06]

Well, I am not surprised that Coulter is so prominent, as she has only one trick --- smearing others. Also, the Fox Network seems to be maintaining its low standards.

For a few specific clinkers.

Hey, those are pretty good. I have a few laughers as well...

Clinton's 'Baby' got Back!
Quote:
"Back when you were working so hard on health care, back in the ‘90s, in the early ‘90s, and you really thought you could get some kind of compromise at the end, I believe, and the word came from the ideologues on the right, ‘Kill this baby in its bassinet. Do not let them get a compromise health care bill that they can get credit for.’ Do you still feel the sting of that strategy on the other side?"
— MSNBC’s Chris Matthews to Senator Hillary Clinton during live State of the Union coverage.

REM Reference
Quote:
"A controversy in Washington over what literally could be the end of the world as we know it. Did the Bush administration freeze out scientists trying to sound the alarm on global warming?"
— Matt Lauer on NBC’s Today, January 31.

Clift Lip...
Quote:
"Al Gore, who is now in contention as a possible presidential candidate and who is leading a campaign to recognize the potential danger of global warming. Hooray that he is back."
— Newsweek’s Eleanor Clift announcing her choice for "Best Comeback"

Mainstream media stars from MSNBC, Today Show, and Newsweek....objective journalism at its very best!

BB :)
