Nice list, but, does not say why they never served. Maybe they tried to enlist and were not physically fit to serve.

Have a link to the reasons they did not serve? All I see so far is a half truth. I want the other half of the story.

ummm...I think you're too lazy to do the research yourself and are asking for someone to do the homework for you. Not today, buddy...however, there is this excellent resource which might get you started seeking your own answers:

Funny how all of those Republicans "tried to enlist and were not physically fit to serve". Yet, all of those Democrats had no problem serving in the military.

Here are my favorites:

Former House Majority Leader Tom Delay - avoided the draft, did not serve (1). "So many minority youths had volunteered ... that there was literally no room for patriotic folks like himself."

VP Cheney - several deferments (1, 2), the last by marriage (in his own words, "had other priorities than military service") (1)

Rush Limbaugh, did not serve (4-F with a 'pilonidal cyst')- In other words, Rush couldn't go to Vietnam because he had a boil on his ass.
