If anyone still pays bills with personal checks - -----

Since we only receive copies of checks we've negotiated for whatever reason - Where are our actual checks going????????

One bank teller told me they go to the Federal Reserve.

Another said they are shredded and destroyed.

Does anyone have a clue about what - by whom - and why this is being transpired?

Recon Homeland Security has a hand in this????????????????

I can't find any info on it. Perhaps this is another method they use to multiply the money supply by 10 as well. Everything these banking scoundrels touch turns into fiat money, why not our cheques as well.

Good question Dee35ann. Does anyone have an informed answer for her?

I think it depends on the bank. Like you, DO.g's, I tried to find info when deeann posted her question earlier and didn't really find anything definitive that I thought would answer her very good question.

My husband and I maintain separate checking accounts. I get a statement each month from my bank that only shows the check number, amount of the check, and the date the check cleared. My husband, on the other hand, receives his bank statement WITH the cancelled checks in the envelope, like all banks used to do.

My sister and I have a joint account at still another bank. That bank sends out the account statement with copies of the checks written and the deposits made.

Three different procedures from three different banks...go figure.

I researched google and its supposed to be a nationwide thing?????

Everything to be posted electronicly - yea right.

What happens when there is a massive crash with electronics?

I receive copies of my checks from my bank, but one was missing. I

called the banks attention to this fact and was told - because it was

deducted from my account - that was my proof.

What happened to the rule you had to be able to prove the transaction

took place with the information on the reverse side of the check?

I hate to feel this way, but I don't trust our Government or our money

controllers because the majourity of them belong to the skull and bones

cult.

Like Catherine, I get a statement each month from my bank that only shows the check number, amount of the check, and the date the check cleared. I miss having my checks to look back on--to see just where the money went.

There is no way to prove anything with the system I am in now. And it really irks me!

Someone told me a couple days ago, that all older checks are now useless and one needs to get new checks. Don't know why?

Yeah and they also have copy of your signature to use as well. Is that something that just might get thrown out with the trash or used against you someday? Cheques will now probably have a UPC code on them so they can be traced easier- by the banks of course, not by you.

Trust Me?

I'm thinking of sending a bill to my bank and the Federal Reserve to
recover the costs of having my checks printed. I do pay for this service
and they are my personal property. Don't have any idea of what hornets
nest I will stir up, but if there is a response, it may prove interesting.

If I get a response I will let you all know.

I don't think Homeland Security or the Bush Hogs has passed a bill
allowing anyone to fool with my personal belongings as long as I'm in compliance with the law. If they have passed new laws --- don't I have a right to know????????????????

Oh boy! DeeAnn, this should be interesting! I can't wait to hear what they have to say.

So far I hadn't heard we need new checks. I have just started the first of four boxes--what an expense this is going to be.

I'm going to use cash as much as I can from now on.

I'm guessing that the new checks will have some sort of strip or metal device that scan be scanned by banks and so on. They get people's signatures all then time, when they use/sign via those machines in Walmart and etc.

Dora - here I am with a letter to the president of the bank I patronize.

Having one heck of a time locating a correct mailing address for the Federal Reserve tho. Sure wish I was more computer savy. Oh well hope I never stop learning.

Meat of the letter! ! ! ! !

A few questions I would like answers for.

What do you do with my checks after they are elctronically posted at your bank in payment of a bill from my account?

You used to send me copies of same checks - but now I don't even get that.

Who authorized you to change the rules? (Again?)

What happens - and who assumes the responsibility, if their is a crash of all the electronic equipment tracking my personal account?

Who is going to believe I did forward a check to pay my expenses? Since I have nothing to show I forwarded a check?

Who will be liable for any legal fees that may be generated to keep preditory lenders from taking my home or anything else that may be hanging in the balance as collateral for any debt owed?

Do you forward my checks to the Federal Reserve? If so may I have the mailing address?

Do you shred my checks?

You send me a monthly statement - so just how hard would it be for you to include the cancelled checks that I payed to have printed, therefore making them my prsonal property.

If you can confiscate my personal property, denying me assess to my personal property, could I feel free to enter your bank and help myself to some money in your safe without legal repercussions?

You say this is robbery and illegal? Then what you are doing to me could be considered robbery and illegal?

Have you ever heard the old saying - sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.

All puns aside - I would like to have a paper trail to the answers of my questions so if and when the time comes I can point a finger and prove you said it.

Sincerly

Wonderful letter!

If this works and they start sending your checks back, even if they don't do that for other people, you will have scored a big step forward.

And if they do, I am sending the same to my bank--although they would use the excuse I have a 'limited' account. They have already let me know numerous times they are allowing me to bank there as a 'special courtesy' to me because I have been with them forever.

'America' does not like 'financially challenged' people.

Hope you get good results deeann. It would be great to score one for the people for a change.

And congratulations on actually doing something rather than simply complaining about what is happening in this country. Wish there were more deeanns around!

I really don't expect them to send me my checks because they are not receiving them from the sources they are being sent too.

However I am following up and making a same request from all who receives a check from me.

Really - how hard would it be for any outfit to place my checks in the same envelope I receive my statement in? They can't use a money saving excuse because no added postage is needed to send a check along with a statement.

Well Dori....

Sent checks paying for insurance on car and tags for my auto. Ordered some medicine by mail through Med-co.

Sent a stamped and addressed envelope in each case asking for the return of my cancelled checks.

Will see what happens. Maybe with this can of worms, I migh get to do a little fishing. LOL

Haven't heard a peep from my bank president.

I wonder whats going through their minds right now?

Oh, to be a fly on the wall and hear all.

You have made an interesting challenge here, deeann. I hope you do hear back from all three places--this is costing you $0.41 every time you mail anything.

Remember when first class postage was $0.03? 33 stamps for a dollar. Now it is a little over 2 stamps.

I know the value of money has changed, but I can't get what I could 10 years ago--let alone 60 years ago.

I so hope you hear, especially from the bank. But it is also interesting to find out what business people will do in this case.

Keep at 'um! I love what you are doing!!!
