Here is some news from the world of progressive talk. Fans of the Mike Malloy Show will know the host. Here is the story from the Liberal Talk Radio blog.

Sarge gets his own show on Nova M Radio

Listeners to Mike Malloy's nighttime show on Nova M Radio are likely familiar with regular caller Herb 'Sarge' Phelps, a listener from Jackson, Mississippi who often discusses the after-effects of Hurricane Katrina. Now, Sarge has parlayed this into a show of his own.

I knew about this before the blog: Sarge made the announcement over at this thread at the Unfiltered News Network.

I was offered a show on Nova M Radio and of course I was thrilled to accept it. The first show will air Sunday at 10 A.M. Eastern, 9 Central. The show name as understand it, will be UnreportedNews.Net and will be recorded until I move to Phoenix then it will be live. I am very excited about it. Sarge must be very interesting. I hope his show is a big hit!

Why do we hear so little about the after effects of Katrina? So many people still have no homes. Doesn't anyone care?

There was a thread on SmirkingChimp about NO and the disaster--day by day accounts by someone who lived there. I think it is still available. So much heartache...

If I have time, I will look it up and post it.

Gosh, I just read this thread today. THat's so cool, especially from a fellow Mississippian.

I notice it said he's moving to Pheonix, which is a shame, we need all of the awesome people we can get here in MS, they are few and far between, to say the least.

He will be working on the Hurricane Katrina issue from a distance, after suffering from a few machinations in his area. Still, it is a loss for Mississippi.

Sarge is now in Phoenix, and his show will air live next Sunday at 10 AM Eastern. You can go to his site and a page that has downloads of the four segments of the first show: http://unreportednews.net/RadioShow.html.
