Well-said, APL...and here's another bit of news that isn't quite as popular or exciting as perhaps Paris Hilton's jail time, but it is another example of a US installed and supported Iraqi government that is, at best, inept:
Iraqi Orphanage Nightmare
It was a scene that shocked battle-hardened soldiers, captured in photographs obtained exclusively by CBS News.
On a daytime patrol in central Baghdad just over than a week ago, a U.S. military advisory team and Iraqi soldiers happened to look over a wall and found something horrific.
You wrote that Hillary and Barack voted against the war funding bill only after they knew that it would pass. Note what happened once the orphanage was discovered by the soldiers:
two security guards are in custody, arrested on the orders of Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. Two women also working there, who posed for pictures in front of the naked boys as if there was nothing wrong, have also disappeared.
I can't help but wonder if al-Maliki knew about this orphanage, and others like them, and only "ordered" the arrests after the orphanage's exposure.
