Here's a site that says lots. Just have to go there regularily and see how much more we owe........now!.............now!............................now!.........

The debt game
When politicians (of both parties) talk about the debt, they don't like talking about $9 trillion, so they add up all the funds, as shown above, and talk about the "debt held by the public." They call this the "national debt," and they call its yearly increase the "deficit."

But this way of talking makes it sound like the money put into Social Security and into government and military pensions funds, all of which is borrowed by the General Fund, is not owed to the public. But it is. That money came from everyone's paychecks (FICA) and is owed to them in retirement. Every president has promised to keep that money safe. So, really, the whole $9 trillion is owed to the public.

In fact, over $2 trillion of what they call "held by the public" is actually held by foreign interests, while 100% of what is owed by Social Security is owed to Americans.

How did the General Fund end up $9 trillion in the hole? Tax cuts and spending increases--largely military spending increases, plus there is a little debt left over from WWII. Check when and how did the national debt accumulate?

Seems like our Founding Fathers where right to distruts the bankers eh?:)

Of course, it seems like they were right on quite a few things, we just did'nt recognize, nor do we recognize what they were saying. Everything that they warned us against has proven to be true.

True .. How many people really understood the "bill of rights" or have even read them? Same goes for the Constitution. The legal system was designed so that it was beyond most people and only lawyers could understand it. People just got it in their heads that both would always be there no matter what. This just keeps getting worse!

You are right! There are two welfare programs they could cut that would add revenue in a big way back into the economy- welfare for the rich must be eliminated- no more bailing out corporations and allowing them to exist tax free.

That should easily pay for all the social welfare programs and add to the peoples better lives and give them hope that they can work their way out of their poverty, rather than a bunch of rich assholes getting these breaks- who should actually be put in jail for trying to bankrupt America- to spend on their pathetic wasted lives and useless families.

Then the wars, which is welfare for the miltary to go destroy other people's countries and allow the same corporations to reap all the war profits going out as phony bid contracts. With all that money saved we could rebuild America's failing infrastructure and start helping to pay off all the countries we robbed the wealth from, starting with the North American Indians.

We'd have plenty of money to do this if we made these welfare cuts.

Check it out- 30% of taxes goes to the military- plenty of room for cutting there- and interest rates to the Fed- 19%- I mean, if you paid 19% on your house mortgage, your children would be lucky to pay it off in their lifetime!

National debt as of 12:20 EST sept 04

$8,998,058,500,000

Every 300 seconds- $6,437,000

Oil addiction

$3,431,226,250,000

Maybe we should look at the offshore tax havens as well which have an estimated value of over 11 trillion dollars in more lost tax revenues as well, perhaps up to $200 billion/year. All this waste and the corporations can still threaten us with leaving and setting up shop in Mexico or Indonesia unless we give in to their demands for more welfare. Yeah you sure know what you're talking about airhead shane. Yeah- attack the poor and kill them so your corporations can go on growing more powerful and help to destroy America. Did you know you were a traitor just like them if you support this kind of welfare/communist system in America?

Great thinking idiot. You really though that one out well- much like all your great airhead idea's- no real thought in it at all. Why don't you smoke some more crack SFB. That's how you get all your great ideas.
