WINDMILL FIGHT

Watch this video about a man who has built a windmill to cut his energy bills on the Jersey shore. While he's trying to pioneer a way to be environmentally responsible, others are trying to make him take the windmill down....

Interesting .. I know a guy who has 2 of these running. Not like his, but something near to it. I wonder why the other folks care so much? In the case of high power bills, perhaps he should offer them a free one to drop the complaints. Ya never know. Then again, they would still need to buy solar panels & batteries and then maintain them.

Solar & Wind generation is the way to go. In my opinion, those people should get with the times and be quiet.

I agree...the windmill builder seemed to be a pretty cool fellow. When we went to West Texas last November, we saw a lot of those windmills being used. People swear by them out there, and in Wyoming, too.

I hope he gets to keep his windmill. I wish I had one, and the money to put in all those solar panels. My house sits on top of a hill and I get plenty of both wind and sun!

It cost a lot to get started. The time to do it, is when one builds a new home from scratch. Unless one has lots of - $$$$$$$$.

Yup, I'm also in a good location for it. I have 2 small solar cells and 6 batteries. I use them for power outages and etc. I have some other stuff to, but I'm holding off somewhat. I hope to build a new log home in the future at this location, but it is going to be quite awhile yet. When I do, I hope to get off the grid, or so to speak. Problem is, I'm not getting any younger!
