How sad is this? I wasn't able to comment yesterday and got up this morning looking forward to logging in here. I'm just completely blown away by the amount of hate that was added since Sadies post. All the assumptions!! I didn't come here to get bashed by every moderator on the board. It appears you would rather have me just go read all the liberal propaganda on the site then to try to participate in any discussions. It's pretty clear that unless I just go along with the rest of you this is what I can expect.

I'm sorry Venus believes that accurate information posted by staff and regular members alike here at TVNL is just so much "hate." I'm sorry that she chose that typical exit strategy when I'd thought she was different from other wingers who have come here. But I guess it'll always be true....when things heat up, those that lean to the right will leave sites like this one instead of standing their ground and defending their opinions, their political party, their president, and their war. Why take it personally? If they believe that they're right, why not be able to "stand and deliver?"

The truth is hateful to regressive these days. I am accused of hate wherever I deliver the facts to "Bushies". It hasn't been a good couple of years for right-wingers.

Just think, two years ago Karl Rove promised them a permanent Republican majority. Democrats were on the run, and progressives were not to be heard from. Bush claimed a mandate, they had a fun little playground in the middle east to kill brown people, and their wealthy demi-gods were happily spending their tax cuts.

Then came Katrina. Suddenly, the Reagan myth that government help is unnecessary was breeched like an overwhelmed levee. The light of public scrutiny flicked on, and their leaders scattered like cockroaches.

Of course, that was only the beginning of their downfall. Next came the realization of widespread corruption, Abramoff, DeLay, Ney, the Dukestir Cunningham, Safavian, ect.

People were horrified when Bush tried to "spend his political capitol" to privatize Social Security.

Their Vice-President got drunk and shot a guy in the face.

The public discovered that they had committed treason by outing an undercover CIA agent.

They had gay hookers implanted in the Washington press corps and pedophiles in Congress.

Finally they lost their promised "permanent majority" and the Democrats suddenly had the power to investigate their rampant corruption, and criminality. Nearly every day the results of those investigations become more astounding.

If all this weren't bad enough, the American public turned against their beloved war.

Now, their vision of one party rule forever has crumbled into dust. Their great cowboy leader is a pariah, and they don't even like their own presidential candidates.

All they have left is to curl up in a fetal position and whine about how everyone "hates" them.

I don't feel bad about Venus. Sure I was hard on her, but she really got on my bad side right away with this standard right-wing insult.



As with most right-wingers, she wanted to spout her beliefs without having to defend them. We all know that doesn't work around here.

Yeah, I don't feel "badly" about how Venus's tenure here was such a short one except for the fact that we didn't get to play with her very long. She took her toys home long before we'd even begun to show her ours! AND we were willing to SHARE, too.

I freely admit that I came on harshly in response to Venus. She said something so contradictory as to be completely false. This war has taken such a terrible toll upon our military that to claim you support the very thing that has broken it is to deny that you support them. It's like an abusive spouse who says he loves his wife, even as he's smashing in her face.

Well that's the tragedy of trolls: they think the boot on their neck is keeping them safe.
