The “What, me worry?” president paid a cheerful visit to U.S. troops in Iraq’s Anbar province, an auspiciously timed trip (his third since the war began in 2003) that falls mere days before Congress is scheduled to hear Army Gen. David Petraeus’ Iraq “progress” report. For another status report (read: reality check), follow the link above.

gen. patreaus report?

actually i'm bettin and so are many others, that the report he gives before congress will be the one that the bushicons hand him to read.

i'm thinkin patreaus is mulling over 2 choices...........

....1. read the strictly scripted piece of propaganda garbage that the bush-cheney cabal hands him to read and remain secure in his employment status, or............

....2. have the pair between his legs provide him the unction neccessary to go up to capitol hill and sit down at the big table to actually give a TRUE and ACCURATE assesment of how bad things really are in the viet namesque quagmire known as iraq.

if he chooses option 2 he will in effect be saying that he is choosing to end his current employment status as iraq commander as did his several predeccessors.

we all know why bush was there, simply for pr opportunity in a pathetic attempt to once again dupe the koolaid drinkers to swallow another glassfull.

i'm not the least bit thirsty.

My opinion is just like yours, rooster....only I doubt that I could've said it quite so well!

Patreaus is just another Colin Powell...only worse as he KNOWS the awfulness of what's going on in Iraq while Powell just helped get it started.

I heard the strangest thing last evening. Someone said Bush had gone over to give Patreaus his speech to bring back.

Love the take on that!

In the link you provided, Cat - I found the photo op interesting.

The one with his middle finger air born.

It's a shame the non thinking loyalists fail to realize - That is exactly the way the idiot feels about all the citizens.

The same ones that are leaving his party are the ones who realize the truth and are leaving rather than go down with the ship.

Brave man, that Bush. No obvious flack jacket. Hope he's at least wearing kevlar.

Even John Mccain didn't take chances. Of course, Bush probably aint even consorting with the locals.

I'd bet my money on Bush never having left the immediate vicinity of Air Force One...all that troop presence and clapping and forelock pulling was STAGED right there on the tarmac....
