Bush's Iraq swagger a distant memory
Michael, this commentary contains a list of recent books that have come out about the fiasco that has been created in Iraq because of Bush's arrogance and stupidity....among a mountain of other things.
As to impeachment, one of the responses was spot-on:
Quote:
Dear Jack:
Why don't you ask the Senators why Cheney and Bush aren't being Impeached? Ask questions like:
Are you being blackmailed?
Have any of your pets died recenty?
How many times have you changed your home phone number?
Do you know where your children are?
do you know where your grandchildred are?
Are you sure?
When we say Impeach, our representatives hear, "The I word is the kiss of death." We're dealing with the biggest mobsters in the world.

A few more:

Senator Reid described our invasion of Iraq as one of the "worst foreign policy blunders in our history." He was wrong.
When an administration deliberately manipulates or ignores intelligence in order to start a war in which tens of thousands of people have died and then refuses to end that war, it is not a blunder. It is a crime, and the constitution is very specific about what the remedy should be.

W's swagger is a "distant memory"? Yesterday he arrived (with 3 jumbojets and 2 other jets) in Australia with the Presidential message that "we are kicking ass in Iraq." Make that a recent memory in a distant place. Not distant enough, unfortunately.
