Those photos will cause more problems than people reaize. This is a nightmare for the PNAC warmongers! An absolute nightmare, and the troops will pay dearly for this. They have their president to thank for this.

Well said. I could not have stated the implications of those pictures better than you did.

How can everyone sterotype the entire military when it was the actions of a few? Have any of you ever been in a hostile enviroment, witnessing your friends dying? I not saying the abuse was right by any means, and it concerns me, but lets not forget that these men and woman are scared, tired, and need to know that when they come home people are not going to shun them. I did not know how to react when I had a woman come up and slap me in the face and call me a killer. I respect everyones opinion and can look at both sides of the coin. If another country came here and wanted to fight, most of you who bash the military would expect to be protected and kept safe......One final note.....it does not matter who is or will become President, the fact is one leader can not please everyone, and the grass is always softer on the other side.

Nobody is against the military! What you are doing is exactly the same thing Bush and his team does and that is change the issue to if you question what we are doing over there then you MUST BE AGAINST THE MILITARY. Not so, everyone here supports the military while against what BUSH and his team are allowing to happen overe there.

Pictures are terrible aren't they? However, has anyone stopped to ask the question.."What did those Iraqis do to be in prison in the first place?" Answer: They were killing and targeting American soldiers. If we go back to the same old circular argument about which came first the chicken or the egg, then logic says we must apply that same principle here. Has those prisoners not been killing American G.I.s, they wouldn't have been in prison and wouldn't have ended up on those pictures, right?

That is a stupid arguement. Did you see the Red Cross report that 70-90% of the detainees were innocent and did nothing wrong. How can you conclude that they were killing American Soldiers.

Lets stay on the issue at hand, this is war so people will be killed however, when you break to law of Geneva convention using torture, humiliation etc that is wrong and should be called as so.

And I ask how you can conclude they are innocent?

Its terrible for both sides to be in this situation. And no commentary (arguement) on this subject can be stupid. People talking about it is what we need to do. Just my .02
