This reminds me of the restriction of my childhood against naming anyone Jesus unless of course you were Hispanic and used the Spanish "Hey Suse" pronunciation. The number of Jesuses I have known personally always ended up being called Jessie or some other nickname in Anglo company.
It is strange that the name Jesus is sort of "reserved" to one ethnic group.
All the other names in the bible, be it John, Paul, Luke, Isiah, Abraham can be found in many different ethnic groups. But the one name that should be exhalted the most in the christian faith doesn't get much naming rights.

Jesus H!
And to think, the name Jesus has actually gone through some derivations to be easier to pronounce, or whatever. I mean, it could easily have been Jeshua.
