I was pregnant in 1980 downwind of a paper mill in St. Mary's Ga when I was a Navy wife near Kings Bay Submarine Naval Base . My son has Asperger's Syndrome, and is almost 27 years old. I am seeking legal counsel as I found a reference in a Georgia Tech study that the '76-'77 Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) by the US Navy revealled they knew there was a "problem" with mercury in Cumberland Sound BEFORE Navy commissioned Kings Bay in 1978 !
I have ordered this EIS through the FOIA. I am anxious to "meet" people like me who have autistic children after being pregnant near paper mills, especially while stationed in Kings Bay Submarine Naval Base, Ga.
