What is happening to the minds of our students at (or maybe away from) school these days?

A google news search turns up a number of stories of students involved with alleged threats against their schools.

Bomb threats. Email threats. Text message threats. graffiti threats.

I am not surprised. My daughter teaches high school English, and she has horror stories to tell...including being threatened herself by a student's boyfriend! Punishment of the BF? Three days in-school suspension!

Papers are full of threats against local schools.

What in the world is happening in this society?

Trickle down from the top?

I've received more threats and insults in the past 7 years, 1 month, and about a week ... than I had in the rest of my life put together.

People sometimes result to threats when they feel frightened. Their way of dealing with it.

Threat is a broad word.

Don't all of us feel quite threatened by the new police state?

Today...my 78 year old mother told me that I may wind up in a FEMA concentration camp.

With the cost of everything rising, this story won't be doing a whole lot to entice people to take their dwindling vacation dollars to Daytona Beach!

Kids in Daytona are committing more serious crimes, violence on the rise

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - When the police got a tip that Bonner Elementary was being hit for the second time in a week, they rushed three squad cars to the school. As they were cordoning off the grounds, the burglars emerged — dashing out a front door and across a field.

Norm Kenaiou, a veteran cop, caught one burglar struggling to hop a chain-link fence. The shock came when he spun his suspect around and saw two, doe-like eyes blinking back at him: the eyes of a terrified, 8-year-old girl.
