The New York Times made it onto Keith Olbermann’s “worst person” list with the news that the paper had hired William Kristol: “You guys at the Times can hire any conservative columnist you want, but why did you pick the really dumb one?”

Olberman probably already knew the answer to that question...the American people allowed the dumbest man in America to become their president...twice! AMERICANS like DUMB! :P

Our society has been in a "dummied down" sick phase since 2000. The NYT isn't immune!

Glad Keith stung them, though. He's wonderful.

On the Howard Fineman quote shoeless, yes, this war has brought the military back--and we bury them one by one.

You are right, the NYT couldn't find any bright conservatives.

I guess Olbermann got it right. Kristol goes 1-for-1 (first article requires first correction.)

Whoopsie! Kristol's First New York Times Column Attributes Quote To Wrong Author
Quote:

So those critics who argued against the appointment of Bill Kristol as a New York Times columnist because of the quality of his work -- rather than merely because of ideology -- will now have yet more proof that they were on to something.

That's because it looks as if Kristol's first column will already require a correction: Kristol seems to have attributed a quote to the wrong author.

In the column, Kristol quotes Michelle Malkin as follows:

Still, as the conservative writer Michelle Malkin put it, “For the work-hard-to-get-ahead strivers who represent the heart and soul of the G.O.P., there are obvious, powerful points of identification.”

Only Malkin is now claiming that she didn't write this. Instead, she notes, the quote actually comes from Michael Medved:

Actually that must be an inside joke, eh? Most of the people I know who are Rs are not work-hard-to-get-ahead people. They are cronies, even in small places like this. They just love to hate people who do not have the advantages they have themselves.
