There's always the kids.
Isn't that the truth?! It doesn't matter how old they get, we're still parents. We advanced one of the children a substantial sum of money today for moving and getting into his new apartment. He promises to pay us back, which he will....if he wants more where that came from!
I'll be babysitting the granddaughter (she's 9...and a sweetheart) for a couple of days next week. She and I are going "junking." That means we go to antique stores and junk or resale shops. We'll find some items that will be "shabby chic" which she'll take home to put in her room. Then we'll have lunch, somewhere nice, and then who knows? We'll definitely take some "hammock time..." We'll lie in the hammock, gaze up at the clouds through the trees, and talk "girl talk."

We'll make cookies, read some stories to each other, do a little art project or two, and watch our favorite Britcom "Are You Being Served?" Before she goes to bed, she'll want to get in the hot tub on the back deck if the evening is cool enough and IF she remembers to pack her swimsuit.
Dori, I have 2 lilac bushes growing on my place...the section of the yard we call the "Old Playground" because that's where the kids and their friends would play when they were small. The lilacs are about 10 feet tall, and they've just finished blooming. Their fragrance from those blossoms was so strong, when the wind blew, I could smell them in the house if the windows were open.
