Sometimes I wonder why you never see jesus as the author? Why is it always someone else? Was he dyslexic and couldn't read or write?

I may have said this before, but it's interesting how religion was (and probably still is) viewed by those (psychology arena; CIA) who seek to understand mind control. Amongst these researchers, they see how effective religion can be in controlling the mind, especially in the hand of a skillful religious leadership and an unchallenging membership.

There's probably a lot to be learned about the Jesus Camps out there. If you can widen the influence enough of evangelical christianity, say, you can control whole governments, not just a group of people. If you can control enough people in a government to believe "the bible says", then you can influence laws governing human behavior.

I don't know if anyone actually 'believes what the bible says', I think its like this terrible example I have...remember we were all young and stupid before...

anyhow, there was this girl who was always acting freaking stupid when she got drunk/high when she was around my crowd of friends when I was younger. I'm mean freaking retarded, she would pull her shirt up and show everyone her breasts, she would talk to strangers and try to pick them up...horrible shit. Well, one day we were going to trip on acid and that chick came over and wanted some too, we didn't have any more and someone had the idea of just giving her a piece of paper as an experiment to see why she acted the way she did...you have probably guessed the outcome by now. Within the allotted amount of time the girl was "tripping" and doing her usual ridiculous shit.

This is the way I see religion. And I guess goes right in line with Catherine's analogy of drinking the kool-aid. She didn't even drink the kool-aid, but she sure as hell didn't want to be left out so she pretended she did. Same thing for religion. Hardly anyone (if anyone) actually believes that shit after they are of a certain age, but they don't want to admit it because they wouldn't be part of the crowd and enjoying the kool-aid like everyone else.

What happened to the girl you're talking about, lefty? How did you and your friends react when she "tripped" after receiving nothing to make her "trip?" You all must have been rolling on the ground, laughing your asses off! I know, I know...we didn't have a whole lot of sympathy for those who had mental problems when we were young, did we?

Churches are always about mind control. FEAR of death is the main premise. If you don't do as the church, or rather, as the male leaders tell you, you'll die and go to HELL...and we all know what hell is supposed to be like!
