Back to oil & gas taking over GOP leadership. I still get a few emails though I have not voted for any Reps since 2002. Both their emails and the radio advertising are taking aim at the environmentalism of democrats.

This is an extension of the same PR campaign that sought to trivialize the Nobel Prize. When Gore won it, all the NeoCons were scared witless and shitless that it might give legitimacy to global climate change being caused by humans. It had the added benefit of being able to dis their old boogey-man Jimmy Carter, also a Nobel Prize winner.

I wonder how this smoke and mirror game stands up to the fact of Iraqi oil not paying for the occupation or keeping the price down at the pump. The lack of trust-busting ever since Ronnie took office has hurt us in uncountable ways, not the least of which is an ill-informed public.
