I still feel that no matter how stupid these people seem to be, not reinstituting the draft was a brilliant move.

Of course, if things steadily grow out of control as they seem to be doing, they will still not need to bring back the draft. We will all then be fighting for our lives.

I have come to feel that the appearance of stupidity is a ploy to mask evil. Their brilliance is that they have been able to continue the occupations with forms of a back door draft. The extensive use of the Reserve and National Guard units, and the so-called "stop loss" recall of discharged military, have essentially filled the role of a draft without having the adverse effect of a draft on the general population. This was the lesson they learned from Vietnam; never make the general population pissed off. It's okay to abuse those whose inclinations were to be part of the military anyway, those that do wake up to the wrongs will be far fewer than would happen in the general population. They have also made it such that the military now only needs targets and killers, the roles of supply and logistics have been contracted out, thus vastly decreasing the number of military needed to continue their war crimes.

Where they have us fighting for our lives is keeping the fruits of labor going to the rich. The shrinking middle class and growing lower class are allowed just enough recompense to survive. True capital is the fruit of labor, so they must allow us to work, so they have capital to steal. Company executives are compensated hundreds of times beyond the level of the capital they personally produce. The average worker is lucky to get a modest fraction of the true value of the worker's efforts.
