"There are about 30 scams the Republicans are deliberately using, particularly in the swing states to get Democratic voters off the rolls. These scams originate in the so-called Help America Vote Act which was passed after the Florida debacle in the year 2000. It was originally suggested by Democrats and Republicans but it was passed by a Republican congress with a Republican senate and a Republican president. And instead of reforming what happened in Florida it basically institutionalized all the problems that happened in Florida. And institutionalized a series of impediments that make it very difficult for Democrats to register, for Democrats to vote and then for Democrats to have their vote counted.

"One of these requirements under HAVA is called "the perfect match" and what that does is little known but it is devastating. A quarter of the voters in Colorado have just been removed from the rolls because of this - just this one scam. And what it does is they use a computer system to compare your registration application to all other government records of you in the state. So they'll look at your social security records, your motor vehicle records and any time you've had any interaction with the government and if there is any information on your voter registration that is different than the information on another government record that they find they remove you from the voting rolls.

From RFK Jr., Mike Papantonio Ring of Fire transcript. It is chilling to read.

I suggest that every TVNL member call their Election Board and check their voter status, making sure they're going to be allowed to vote come Election Day. A bit of prevention right now might make a big difference, especially if you're living in a battleground state.

Good idea. I also think I am going to write a letter to the editor about this. If we don't get the word out, we can't blame others for not doing so.

People here are already bummed that their trusty lever machines were taken away.

HAVA, we vote so you don't have to.

My way of insuring that votes are counted and fairly cast is little different. I work the polls. (Being registered and eligible is a requirement for working the polls.) I enforce the rules. Rules such the 75-foot rule here in Arizona. This means no politicking allowed within 75 feet of the voting place. Anybody that is wearing a pin is asked to remove it until after they vote. T-shirts with any political message are either removed, turned inside out or covered. Anyone trying to distribute political information within 75 feet is subject to removal and arrest. I have had the pleasure of shutting the mouths of several Rethugs—LEGALLY.

Arizona has adopted laws and rules that insure the ability to vote. One that I particularly like is not dropping inactive voters from the rolls. They are given an inactive status which means money is saved by not sending out sample ballots or election information; however if they appear at the polls they are allowed to vote and their status is automatically updated to active. If someone has moved to a new precinct, they are allowed to vote in that new precinct and the rolls updated, they are not required to meet some arbitrary deadline for updating their registration.

ARE WE SURPRISED?

SPOONAMORE REVEALS THE PLAN TO STEAL THE NEXT ELECTION

Here, in this shattering new interview, Stephen Spoonamore goes into harrowing detail about the Bush regime's election fraud, past, present and--if we don't spread the word right now--to come. Since he's the only whistle-blower out there who knows the perps themselves, and how they operate, we have to send this new piece far and wide.

Here Spoon tells us that McBush's team--i.e., Karl Rove and his henchpersons-- have their plan in place to steal this next election: by 51.2% of the popular vote, and three electoral votes.

He also talks about the major role played by the Christianist far right in the electronic rigging of the vote.

And he defines our electronic voting system as a major threat to US national security, calling for it to be junked ASAP, in favor of hand-counted paper ballots.

Since Spoon is a Republican and erstwhile McCain supporter, as well as a noted specialist in nosing out computer fraud, his testimony is essential--not only for its expertise, but, no less, for the impact that his views will surely have on those Republicans who have been loath to see what Bush & Co. has done to our election system.

That whole story's just about to break. In fact, tomorrow there will be a number of articles appearing, on a recent breakthrough in the lawsuit that Spoon's testimony has enabled, and on other aspects of that all-important case.

9/26/08: New Spoonamore Interview - E-voting Machines are a National Security Threat

Last week, VR interviewed GOP Cyber security expert Stephen Spoonamore about the upcoming election and his testimony in the new Ohio litigation to take depositions of Karl Rove and others.

The video is posted in full below with ten short clips for You Tube viewing. This interview is so important and explosive that we urge everyone to watch it.

Spoonamore says that the GOP wanted e-voting to steal elections but now foreign governments will be hacking and the winner will be determined by the best hackers. He says that if the GOP wins the hacking competition, McCain will win 51.2 percent with three electoral votes over Obama, and it will be a stolen election.

Spoon also makes a crucial point about the people who have been implicated in much of the election theft: "They are religious extremists." He names those who know about stolen elections, and he insists that the only way to protect this election is with paper ballots, hand-counted.

Check out this extraordinary interview here.

I can't bring in the youtube of course, but there is a documentary on LINK TV now about stealing the 2000 election and that it is still happening.

But how do we get the word out without people thinking we are high on something and discounting everything we say?

You can immediately check to see if you are registered to vote in your state by going to this site: https://www.votepoke.org/index.html

:bounce:

ALSO...PLEASE REMEMBER:

DO Vote Early if you can - If problems arise, you will have time to straighten it out before it is too late.

DO verify your voter registration status now: https://www.votepoke.org/index.html

DON'T accept voting on a "Provisional Ballot" also known as a "Throwaway Ballot" (especially in Ohio)

DO Bring every kind of ID you have with you to the polls: Voter ID Card, Driver's License, U.S. Passport, Employer ID, Student ID, other government-issued document with your name & address

DON'T wear anything with candidate's name or picture on it to your polling place " shirts, buttons, stickers, etc. (there will be plenty of time for that stuff at the victory parties :-)

DO bring your cell phone and phone numbers to report Polling Place Fraud and/or Intimidation. 866-OUR-VOTE - for state-specific info: http://www.866ourvote.org/state/

NO FEAR ! Do not let the paid GOP operatives intimidate you at the polls!

Borrowed from HERE

At least three voters have reported that voting machines used in West Virginia refuse to accept a vote for Obama and switched it to McCain. The poll worker said to touch the screen more lightly. He or she might as well have said: "Stand on your left foot and insert your right index finger into your nose while touching the screen with your left pinky." If the software doesn't work, touching the screen differently is not likely to make any difference. Problems like this (the wrong box being checked after someone touches the screen) are easy to detect. What is impossible to detect is a machine that displays the vote as the voter intended but counts it for a different candidate internally.

Fortunately, paper ballots are making a comeback. About 59% of the nation's voters will use paper ballots that will be optically scanned, comparable to college entrance tests. An additional 33% will use electronic voting machines. In principle, there is nothing wrong with electronic voting machines provided that they use open-source code that anyone can inspect, there is a way for the voter to determine that the correct software is running on the machine, and there is a paper ballot printed out that can be deposited in the ballot box to be used for recounts if need be. Voting machines that do not have a voter verified paper audit trail need to be taken out of service immediately.

For a rundown of what equipment is used in which states see http://www.VerifiedVoting.org

Update on my poll working activities:

Turns out while there is a shortage of workers there was a greater shortage of Inspectors. Inspector is a fancy word for head honcho at the local precinct. Therefore, on November 4th, I'll be doing my part to ensure one precinct's integrity. Not my home precinct but that may come in time.

An added note to those requesting Early Ballots. Be sure to vote that ballot, returning it by mail or by hand on Election Day. Here in Arizona, the voter lists show the receipt of an Early Ballot and if you show up on election day and request a regular ballot, you are restricted to a Provisional Ballot and it is only counted after it is verified that your Early Ballot wasn't returned. This is a reasonable restriction to prevent double voting by either side.
