I'm headed off to bed early tonight. I have to be at the polls at 5:30AM. This is my first time as an Inspector. Some kind of karma is happening, the street number to the polling place is identical to the street number of the house I was raised. I lived at that address for presidential elections of 1960, 1964, 1968 and 1972. Results then were an even split, I would hope that common sense rules the day, and election fraud is stopped in its tracks allowing the peaceful election of Obama. I fear that theft this time won't be taken so lightly as 2000 and 2004.

((((((A PROUD LIBERAL!))))) And Good Luck...for all of us who want to see Obama win!

Let's use this thread as an Election Diary to post what we see happening in our various polling places.

MAY OBAMA WIN!

I haven't voted yet because my polling spot (less than a mile down the road) is so crowded right now, I would do better to walk from my house to get there. I am going to give all the people on the way to work just a little longer then I will go plant myself in line. This is the first time I have ever, EVER seen a line to vote there. Most of the time, its just one or two other people there when I go to vote.

I am so excited. I actually think the showing for Obama here in MS will be very high. I even hold a small hope that my state will cross over to blue (or at least partially blue) this time. I am seriously not going to be able to sit still today. I have no idea what to do with myself!!! :brilsmurf:

Just got home from working the polls. My precinct went 2 to 1 for McWar. I continue to be amazed at the number of young and people of color who vote against their own best interest and back the Rethugs; but tough—Obama is the next president!!!!! I hope McWar will concede fairly fast now that the writing is firmly on the wall that there is NO WAY for him to recover. Time for Winky to crawl back into her igloo.

OBAMA IS OUR PRESIDENT

I have no words to express my level of happiness. I would also just like to toot my counties horn and say that my county did vote for Barack, even though McCain seems to have won my state. I am so freaking proud right now.

Like you APL, my county went thoroughly R. Every race.

But Obama did it! Hail to the chief rather than thief like in the days of Bush.
