Clearly. In fact I have time to elaborate. I have two small sole proprietorships: wedding/event photography & commercial aquarium maintenance.
I did photography for 10 years and may have made a buck or two a few of those years. I was constantly buying expensive equipment though and spents thousands in credit card interest.
I closed the photography thingie because I worked for free last year...after expenses. The writing was on the wall. Photography is the first thing to go in a recession.
The maintenance business is hanging on. All of my clients are bleeding however.
Advertising in a dead market is like flogging a dead horse. Nothing happens.
I can't afford to do anything of significance because I always spend money when doing stuff.
Blogging is pretty cheap.
Besides....I am saving the free world by warning folks.
