On Monday, however, Cheney made sure to blanket the criminally prosecutable blame: "We all approved it," he said, as he continued his propaganda campaign for the declassification of non-existent proof of torture's non-existent effectiveness.http://pmcarpenter.blogs.com/p_m_carpenters_commentary/2009/06/dick-cheney-has-finally-hit-the-bottom-of-despicability.html
He also blamed the then-head of the counterterrorism program, Richard Clarke, for "obviously miss[ing]" 9/11's warning signs; and, in effect, he blamed CIA director George Tenet for the colossally imbecilic Iraq War: "The prime source of information on the relationship between Iraq and al-Qaeda was George Tenet.... That is not something I made up, that is not something I thought of. That is what the director of central intelligence was telling us."
But, as mentioned, we can always look at the upside: Dick Cheney simply cannot get any more despicable.
I know that this may sound odd, but I am actually glad that Cheney can not help but run his mouth, it is almost as if he is comming unhinged.
The way I see it, the more he runs his mouth, the more he sheds light on, (such as admitting finally that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 and never did....which we knew of course), but also, and more importantly, it seems as if he is begining to point fingers in order to save his own ass.
What I hope for now is that the people who Cheney is blaming, and mentioning by name, now come fourth and begin to speak themselves in condemnation of Cheney.
We want them at one anothers throat. Let the feeding begin.
