RACHEL MADDOW: SOTU SPEECH WAS A 'PRAYER TO THE FREE MARKET' Rachel Maddow characterized President Obama's State of the Union address as "more of a CEO-style pep talk than a football-rally style pep talk."
She called the speech a "prayer to the free market, to the nation building in our own nation," and said that Obama had defined the political center "not so much by what's wrong with both sides, but by what Mr. Obama likes from each party's wishlist."
Maddow also noted that the mood in the House chamber was "more subdued than in years past."

I'll just mention that, thank God, I'm not the only citizen, that feels this way!! The reason why I come down on O'bama the way I do, is the fact that he had such a "laser like" vision, for the future of America, when running for the White House. Other candidates, were either talking out of their ass, or they simply did not have a detailed plan, on where we need to go as a nation.
In my opinion, O'bama connected with the people, because he DID NOT, sound like a pep rally, as Rachael mentioned. His message was simple and concise. He knew the problems with this country, and had a specific game plan, to get where we needed to be. He talked like a "man on a mission." He even used that phrase several times, after he was elected president. (but not for long) He also, didn't sound like a cold war lunatic, like so many others have. And yes, Rachael was right on, on the pep rally for the CEO'S.
In short, he let everyone down who voted for him. People were hurt, when he "kneepadded" himself to the big corporations. Barrack had a REAL VISION for this country. But more importantly, he ruined a lot of people's vision for america as well.
It's one thing, to fight "tooth and nails," against the filthy right. Even if he had lost, he would of been remembered as a fighter. Much of the characteristics, a REAL president should have.
It's sad, it really really is man!!
