Frustration and anger are growing from coast to coast as millions upon millions of Americans find themselves unable to pay their mortgages and feed their families.
But instead of the American people coming together and standing up to Wall Street, the Federal Reserve, NAFTA, the WTO, the IMF and the World Bank, we are endlessly fighting with ourselves.

The establishment loves that most Americans are caught in the false left/right paradigm.

The establishment loves that hatred between liberal and conservatives is rising.
The establishment loves that we are fighting with each other over the scraps instead of asking why the pie is shrinking and why most of the pie is being taken by the elite.

The left and the right are fighting tooth and nail to win minor battles against each other even as our national economy slowly swirls down towards the bottom of the toilet bowl.

Hopefully the American people will wake up. Our economic system is being looted and gutted at an astounding pace and most of our politicians appear to be totally indifferent to what is going on.

But instead of getting educated about real issues, most Americans that are interested in politics seem obsessed with finding someone to hate. The mainstream media tells us that if we are Republicans that we are supposed to hate the Democrats and that if we are Democrats that we are supposed to hate the Republicans.

Thanks for posting that, CE. I believe this is all a "grand design." I know that sounds paranoid, but consider what has happened to divide us since 9/11. We were united like never before for awhile, but then everything went to hell in a handbasket. Talking heads on the telly are very influential. The more they divide us, the more money they make.

Someone said "I've been right and I've been paranoid. Paranoid is better!"

You know, its funny in a way. Of course, when I was younger, I never really thought there was anything wrong with television in general. Not really a lot on that I liked, but all in all I thought it was fairly harmless.

Over the years however I have come to view things differently and I honestly believe that out of all the inventions that we have in our homes, the television is the most damaging, most evil invention in our everyday existence.

As to being paranoid, lol, I've been called that before:)

The thing is that there are honestly very few people that I trust and normally it is something that is earned over time.

I quite instinctively do not trust politicians to begin with and though some of this distrust may be because of my life's events, much of it comes from simple observation of what IS, if that makes any sense.

Yes, there is a grand design put in play by the worst of humanity and this is not paranoia. I wish it were:(

Remember when Walter Cronkite was considered the country's most trusted person?????? And I think he actually deserved that honor. He was a broadcast journalist, not a media whore.

Before 24 hour news and ratings wars became the norm, we had real journalists reporting the news, and those journalists had to be above reproach. Chet Huntley, David Brinkley, Edward R. Murrow...all kept us informed, not necessarily entertained. I think that when the Fairness Doctrine went out the window, we lost so much in the way of integrity and what was "fair and balanced." We used to scoff and sneer at the propaganda that was what substituted for "news" in the old USSR...remember those days? I never imagined that our media sources would become much, much worse...and even more remote was the possibility that the American people would BELIEVE them!

"And that's the way it is" ...Walter Cronkite
