Discussions were frank and cordial on the events in the country and agreement has been made to hold a meeting between the Arab Ministerial Committee and the Syrian government on October 30 to continue today's discussions.

The Ministerial Committee which attended the meeting comprises the Arab League Secretary General Nabil al-Arabi, Oman's Foreign Minister Yousef bin Alawi, Algerian Foreign Minister Murad Medelci, Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Ahmad Kirti, Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohammad Kamel Amro and the Assistant Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmad bin Hili.

KANDAHAR, Oct. 27 –

Fresh details arriving from Kandahar city indicate that the fighting which broke [out]when 4 martyrdom seeking Mujahideen attacked an intelligence headquarters after taking up position inside a nearby building close to the invaders PRT is still raging on at the moment, 10:00 pm.

Recent reports from [puppet] officials at the scene say that a few moments earlier, a powerful explosion hit the enemy troops approaching the occupied building, another detonated in front of Commander Toor Jan’s (head of security of PRT) room and another took place at the gate of the PRT building.
