I saw the video. There is nothing fake about the beheading. If Mr. Berg appeared relaxed as he sat, I think, it was because he had no inkling of what they were going to do to him. The video was edited. It was transferred, copied and what is out there is probably several generations from the original and poor quality. I am sure the original is even more gruesome. You can hear Mr. Berg scream, a few seconds before the verdugo grabbed him by the hair, and the second hooded man on the left pushed him down on his side, the first man (from left to right,) held his torso down. It took about 40 (?) seconds from the first slash according to the running time on the video. Mr. Berg was still screaming until his vocal chords were severed. The last sound heard coming from Mr. Berg is what is referred to in medical term as the "death rasp." His excutioners, and I suppose witnesses not seen in the video were screaming something about Allah. Then silence. It took several more sawing like motions to severe the head from the torso. Rotate Holofernes so he is facing down and there you have it. As I child, I saw the Japanese behead 3 civilians. The Samurai method is swift and clean. And so was the guillotine and the ax, I suppose. So swift was the decapitation that it appeared to me the rest of the body was still alive. It is gruesome. My stomach rumbled in because this was a death scene. But I am used to seeing operations, trauma room scenes, surgical procedures of all kinds. This is a horrible way to die, or to kill someone. There was so much hate in the body language of the executioners. Its like they were saying: "You want to know what revenge is? Here take a good look at what we are capable of doing."

I posted this to another group. On May 12 after I viewed the video.

... there is something weird about the 5 masked Qaedas behind Mr. Berg. Which made me wonder. Something is not right . I noticed that the last masked man to the right is wearing, what looks like an Adidas sneakers. The first (from left to right) is too tall to be an Arab. Arabs are short and stocky. Take a good look at the body language of the rest as the third man reads the -- There is something about how they move that seems like they are not who they claim they are, and are simply playing a role. Notice also that the men are disguised resembling more like "Ninjas."
Notice again, that the fifth player in this horrible scene is holding his weapon, with an extended fore finger resting outside the trigger area--- this is standard safety position taught to US troops to prevent accidental misfiring of the weapon. Iraqis or the Qaedas are not trained this way. They always have the finger on the trigger. I smell a set up. Was this set up to justify the Abu Ghraib torture? I don't know.

But another poster debunked my theory and suspicions. I missed on the white chair where Mr. Berg sat.

However -- I still believe that the beheading of Mr. Berg is real.

Thank you for sending the links. I have read a few. I am really interested in discussing this topic, but I am not used to posting in this manner. For one thing, I can't find a spell checker and yet have to learn how to navigate. I will read more. That the video was taken in Abu Ghraib prison, I have no doubt. I researched the white resin chair.
Someone told me that it is a common item in Iraq. Yet, when I looked at more than 200 pictures of the rubble and ruins, I did not see a single white plastic chair. (The chair where Berg sat appears to be the same chair in the Abu Ghraib.) Next, I researched images from post war Iraq, market scenes, outdoor shops, street scenes, interior of Iraqi homes. I did not see a semblance of a "white chair." Then I looked at images of the "looting" when people carted everything, inclusive of the proverbial "kitchen sink" -- I saw not a white chair. Something is definitely rotten.

I suppose he could have been alive in the video however the video was clearly stopped after Nick Berg identifies himself. The video was restarted some time later, but after the video was restatred Nick Berg never n moves again.
He appears motionless.

Forgive me please. I am a bit confused. That Mr. Berg was decapitated is a given.. for the simple reason that his headless body was discovered, retrieved, and returned to his family. With all due respect - Dr John Simpson, and Dr. Jon Nordby, for all their credentials, have not examined the remains of Mr. Berg. So how can they form or submit their "expert opinion" on the matter? What they viewed is exactly what those who dared to look at the video saw. Unless they have a first generation copy.

Hoax means to deceive. Yes?

The "hoax" that is evident to me is that the five allege terrorists are not what they appear to be. The first allege terrorist, if you watch him carefully is doing some mild stretching exercise, and then catches himself and ceases the movements.

I thought I wrote a longer article than what is shown-- - it did not include the ff: If the terrorstis did not do it, why have they not said a word? All they have to do is deny the beheading and that denial would cast enough doubt to indict the "usual suspects" in the conspiracy theory pointing out to the present wardens of Abu Ghraib. It is very puzzling.
