DVD Producer Volunteer Wanted: If anyone in the NYC area can help me put together a simple DVD for public distribution please contact me at jesse@tvnewslies.org. As I sat and watched a 7 year old kid stumble as he tried to answer questions from two TV news personalities, live I TV, I fired off this not to CNN’s American Morning:

“Another brilliant piece of journalism by your O'Brien team. Wow, interviewing a 7 year old. What brilliant journalism! Great questions too!

Now we know how he felt after his swim! Absolutely riviting.

Journalism at its best. Why bother reporting trivial issues like stolen presidential elections, local elections where 300 new touch screen voting machines fail, Dick Cheney's energy policy meetings, the Project for a New American Century and their New Pearl Harbor called 9/11, or the billions of $ being made by Bush's friends and family as a result of virtually all of his policies from No Child Left Behind to his border securiy initiative. Keep that silly information from the public.

Imagine if the public knew how you kept the real news from them? What do you think they would do?”

· World Council of Churches slams Israel - Israel bears the burden of responsibility for the present crisis in the Middle East, the World Council of Churches has announced, following a meeting of its Executive Committee in Geneva from May 16-19.

· Israel's economy leaving Palestinians far behind - Per-capita income - a measure of the standard of living - is 17 times higher in Israel than among its neighbors from the West Bank and Gaza Strip. That gap is forecast to widen as an economic boycott of the Hamas-led Palestinian Authority pushes up poverty levels and as foreign investment fuels Israeli prosperity. Israeli sanctions, coupled with a halt in financial aid from the US and Europe, have left the Hamas-led government broke and unable to pay the salaries of 165,000 employees for the past two months.
