FOOD FOR THOUGHT: If every subscriber to this mailing list donated $1 per week our minimum financial needs would be met. If we doubled the size of our list it would only take $0.50 per week. Being financed to this point would mean that TvNewsLIES could pay for its overhead and any money over this amount could go towards hiring reporters and expanding the new radio program. It would also allow TvNewsLIES could repay my original investment so that I can do things like pay the rent and buy food! Just something to think about. http://tvnewslies.org/html/an_urgent_message.html

Editor's Comments: Why Worry About a Shadow Government? I think a clear case exists for accepting the fact
that America, and perhaps the world is ruled for the most part by unelected
officials and organizations. Central banks, Trilateral Commission, the
Council on Foreign Relations, the Bilderberg group, the Illuminati, take your
pick. Most political decisions are
made outside of the democratic political process completely out of site of
the citizens of the world. Well I have news for you; our official government
is conducting itself like a shadow government these days. We don’t have to
debate the notion of an outside shadow government anymore because our so
called elected government is increasingly shifting its operations into the
shadows. Virtually all areas of our government that are under the control of
the Bush administration are suddenly hiding information that had been
considered public for as long as we can remember. I can not even to begin to
list the “secret” programs launched by the Bush administration and I don’t
think there is enough time left in the century to list the public information
that has been reclassified as secret by this sinister administration. And for those of you who think this is being don’t
for “national security” reasons, any rudimentary look at what is being
reclassified as secret will pretty much convince you that this is more of an
effort to hide evidence of crimes, lies and other outrages committed by the
Bush administration. Think
about it! – Jesse, Editor, TvNewsLIES.org QUESTION: Have you
forwarded this e-mail to anyone today? Consider doing so for you will
be helping to inform the people of this nation about the vital issues that
are hidden from them by our corporate media. Make this nation a better place,
educate, inform and enlighten your fellow citizens! If you believe that the American corporate media
are our greatest enemy let the people know how you feel. NOTE: You

· Afghan 'suicide bombing kills 17' - At least 17 people have been killed and many more injured in a suspected suicide bombing in the southern Afghan province of Helmand, officials say. · Dozens killed in Iraq; 8 U.S. troops die - The dead included eight American soldiers, one of the deadliest weekends for the U.S. military in recent months. · Another miserable milestone for Bush's war - A miserable milestone was passed the other day. America's (and Britain's) disastrous war in Iraq has now lasted longer than the US involvement in the Second World War. |
· Democrat
Gatekeeper's Camptown Races Do-Da - Prophecy from the past? No, but the
old lyrics and title seem to blend with the current political fiasco in which
freedom loving Americans currently find ourselves. · US
politics 'obsessed' with ads - Finding cash to fund TV commercials is
"the only thing that matters in American politics now", former US
Vice-President Al Gore has said. "The person who has the most money to
run the most ads usually wins," he told the Edinburgh TV Festival. · Living
under the imperial presidency - Where Bush's arrogance has taken us -
DURING HIS GUBERNATORIAL DAYS IN TEXAS, George W let slip a one-sentence
thought that unintentionally gave us a peek into his political soul. In
hindsight, it should've been loudly broadcast all across our land so people
could've absorbed it, contemplated its portent...and roundly rejected the
guy's bid for the presidency. On May 21, 1999, reacting to some satirical
criticism of him, Bush snapped: "There ought
to be limits to freedom." |
· Real
Wages Fail to Match a Rise in Productivity - With the economy beginning to
slow, the current expansion has a chance to become the first sustained period
of economic growth since World War II that fails to offer a prolonged
increase in real wages for most workers. |
· Bin
Laden, Most Wanted For Embassy Bombings? - Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden
is a longtime and prominent member of the FBI's "Ten Most Wanted"
list, which notes his role as the suspected mastermind of the deadly U.S.
embassy bombings in East Africa on Aug. 7, 1998. But another more infamous
date -- Sept. 11, 2001 -- is nowhere to be found on the same FBI notice. |
· Receptionist-Turned-Lobbyist
Faces Probe - It's one of a number of corruption investigations involving
members of Congress that have prompted lawmakers to look again at tightening
lobbying rules. |
· Experts
warn U.S. is coming apart at the seams - The American Society of Civil
Engineers last year graded the nation "D" for its overall
infrastructure conditions, estimating that it would take $1.6 trillion over
five years to fix the problem. · Katrina
Aid Far From Flowing - A year after the hurricane, some federal agencies
are dispensing available funds at a trickle: $110 billion has been approved,
$44 billion spent. · Brown
says White House wanted him to lie - Former Director Michael Brown told
ABC News` 'This Week with George Stephanopoulos' Sunday he stood by comments
in a Playboy interview, and President Bush wanted him to take the heat for
the bungling. |

· Hizbullah
leader: we regret the two kidnappings that led to war with Israel - The
leader of the militia said that talks were going on to return the two in
exchange for Lebanese prisoners held by Israel. · Humbling
of the supertroops shatters Israeli army morale - As the war unfolded his
optimism was brought crashing down to earth — and with it the invincible
reputation of the Israeli armed forces. · Dollars,
democracy and Venezuela - The U.S. government is spending millions of
dollars in the name of democracy in Venezuela — bankrolling human-rights
seminars, training emerging leaders, advising political parties and giving to
charities. But the money is raising deep suspicions among supporters of
President Hugo Chávez, in part because the U.S. has refused to name many of
the groups it's supporting. · Four
blasts in Turkey injure 22 - Four separate blasts on Turkey's popular
coastal region and in the country's commercial capital Istanbul injured at
least 22 people, including 10 Britons, a state news agency and British
authorities said on Monday. · Compliant
and subservient: Jimmy Carter's explosive critique of Tony Blair - Tony
Blair's lack of leadership and timid subservience to George W Bush lie behind
the ongoing crisis in Iraq and the worldwide threat of terrorism, according
to the former American president Jimmy Carter. |

& VETERANS : http://www.tvnewslies.org/news/#military |
· Soldiers'
Families Question Rumsfeld on Deployment - Rumsfeld, who received a mixed
reception from a crowd that offered more applause for the questions asked
than the answers provided, praised the 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team. |
· Exploding
the Charter School Myth - A federal study showing that fourth graders in
charter schools score worse in reading and math than their public school
counterparts should cause some soul-searching in Congress. · Who is
the Fascist Here? - Recent public references to "Islamic
fascists," a term used by George W. Bush and repeated often in the print
media, suggest that the President and many writers have an inaccurate or at
least incomplete understanding of fascism. · Empire,
and resistance to it, is the central issue of our time - From Iraq and

force is failing |

·
Confronting the Truth about Torture - Yet despite the
indisputable facts of a blatantly immoral policy, the issue of extraordinary
rendition has not seemed to generate widespread attention or outrage in the
US. |
· Washington hit by curse of the kid
bloggers - Nor has Jonathan’s brother Bryan done much to help his
father’s attempts to strike a reasonable note about US involvement in Iraq.
“I was born an American by God’s amazing grace,” wrote Bryan Frist in
an online profile. “Let’s bomb some people.” |
