FOOD FOR THOUGHT: If every subscriber to this mailing list donated $1 per week our minimum financial needs would be met. If we doubled the size of our list it would only take $0.50 per week. Being financed to this point would mean that TvNewsLIES could pay for its overhead and any money over this amount could go towards hiring reporters and expanding the new radio program. It would also allow TvNewsLIES could repay my original investment so that I can do things like pay the rent and buy food! Just something to think about. http://tvnewslies.org/html/an_urgent_message.html

Editor’s Comments - http://tvnewslies.org/blog

TVNL Editor's Comments: Walter Cronkite Reporting: Beaver Cleaver Runs Into Trouble!

Could you imagine the above report actually taking place? Can you imagine Walter Cronkite reporting celebrity news…as a HEADLINE? Can you imagine him reporting about a celebrity relationship, adoption, breast implant or break up? Could you see him telling you about the sagas behind the latest crop of contestants on a game show? I would imagine that he would be openly weeping, or smoking a joint if he were forced to demean journalism by reporting celebrity gossip or entertainment news along side his Vietnam war updates.

The next time you hear about Madonna’s adopted child, during a national news HEADLINE update, remember that this nation does not have a national journalism industry. At least not a corporately owned one! Think about it! – Jesse, Editor, TvNewsLIES.org

QUESTION: Have you forwarded this e-mail to anyone today? Consider doing so for you will be helping to inform the people of this nation about the vital issues that are hidden from them by our corporate media. Make this nation a better place, educate, inform and enlighten your fellow citizens!

If you believe that the American corporate media are our greatest enemy let the people know how you feel.

Bush declared his goal would be nothing less than to convert Iraq's infrastructure into "the best in the region" - yet US contractors today are readying to depart, leaving that goal unattained.
TVNL Comment: Take the money and run! Our money!!!

· U.S. soldier missing in Baghdad - military - A U.S. soldier was reported missing in Baghdad on Monday, the military said.
TVNL Comment: Is he going to be treated like a "non-Iraqi-citizen enemy combatant?"

POLITICS : http://www.tvnewslies.org/news#politics

· Olbermann’s Special Comment on GOP Fearmongering - Keith issued arguably his most powerful Special Comment yet tonight.

· Mass Amnesia About Bush's Lies? - America's Major "News" Media, Incumbents & Challengers in BOTH Parties (and much of the public) - seem to have "FORGOTTEN" Bush's NeoCon cabal LIED us into their contrived, unnecessary WAR OF TERROR against Iraq!

9/11 News : http://www.tvnewslies.org/news/#911

· Here is the transcript of what you were not allowed to hear from Osama binLaden's own mouth: - Not many people know that, after September 11, 2001, Osama bin Laden issued a statement on tape that he had nothing to do with the attacks on America and that such actions were against the teachings of Islam. Americans were prevented from accessing this information because we were told that Osama could possibly have an embedded "secret code" in the tape that would alert other terrorists cells to "activate" and target other American cities.

· House GOP Officials Likely to Be at Odds - The House Republican campaign chairman and the speaker of the House are likely to be at odds this week as they testify about the handling of ex-Rep. Mark Foley's come-ons to male pages.

· Turmoil in Hastert's Office as Key Staff Testifies - The investigation of how the Republican leadership handled the issue has provoked turmoil and finger-pointing in Hastert's office, congressional sources say. - Some of Hastert's principal aides have hired criminal defense lawyers to represent them during the investigation.

DOMESTIC : http://www.tvnewslies.org/news/#domestic

· Chicago Voter Database Hacked - As if there weren't enough concerns about the integrity of the vote, a non-partisan civic organization today claimed it had hacked into the voter database for the 1.35 million voters in the city of Chicago.

· The Bush Administration's Assault on Defense Lawyers - The meta-message in the Stewart verdict and sentence, taken in the context of the government's tendency to frame the most far-fetched set of facts as terrorism and the sweeping powers given the President under the Military Commissions Act, is that people who stand up for their own rights and the rights of others face not open and transparent prosecution in federal court--like Stewart--but arrest, trial, and imprisonment by the President of the United States.

ENVIRONMENT : http://www.tvnewslies.org/news/#environment

· Evangelicals Embrace of Environmental Stewardship Creates Problem for Bush - Groups like the Christian Coalition and the National Association of Evangelicals are also making global warming an issue.

EDITORIAL : http://www.tvnewslies.org/news/#editorial

· Why There Almost Certainly Is No God - Even before Darwin's time, the illogicality was glaring: how could it ever have been a good idea to postulate, in explanation for the existence of improbable things, a designer who would have to be even more improbable?

· Time for the neocons to admit that the Iraq war was wrong from the start - You had this fantastic plan for invading a foreign country and harnessing a grateful populace behind your ideas for rebuilding an Arab nation along better lines — and then along come the Americans and make a mess of it. Now why in Heaven’s name would they do a thing that?

JOURNALISM & MEDIA : http://www.tvnewslies.org/news/#media

· Press Freedom Erodes in U.S., Report Says - Although it ranked 17th on the first list, published in 2002, the United States now stands at 53, having fallen nine places since last year. - "The zeal of federal courts which, unlike those in 33 U.S. states, refuse to recognize the media's right not to reveal its sources, even threatens journalists whose investigations have no connection at all with terrorism," the group said.

He is an actor, after all.” - Rush Limbaugh will say anything to attack anyone who challenges George Bush and his policies. This time, his target is Michael J. Fox.
