FOOD FOR THOUGHT: If every subscriber to this mailing list
donated $1 per week our minimum financial needs would be met. If we doubled the
size of our list it would only take $0.50 per week. Being financed to this
point would mean that TvNewsLIES could pay for its
overhead and any money over this amount could go towards hiring reporters and
expanding the new radio program. It would also allow TvNewsLIES
could repay my original investment so that I can do things like pay the rent
and buy food! Just something to think about. http://tvnewslies.org/html/an_urgent_message.html

Editor's Comments: The Slow
Militarization of CNN
It started with the embarrassing and
childish “Situation Room”; where Wolfe Blitzer looks at you and tells you over
and over that you are in a situation room! Yes, we must pretend that Wolfe
Blitzer is tasked with handling emergencies and you are in the pretend room
where he and his team tackle these “situations!”
Now CNN gives us a “Special
Investigation Unit.” I worked at the Associated Press for nine years. I dealt
with thousands of news organizations over the years. I can pretty much say
without a doubt that news agencies don’t have “units.” They have departments,
divisions, teams & groups, but they do not have “units.” Nor do they have “situation
rooms.” They have meeting rooms, lunch rooms and rest rooms but they do not
have “situation rooms!”
“Units” exist in police and
military environments. “Situation rooms” exist in government, military and
police environments. I know this seems like I am picking on a small issue but
don’t be fooled, the fascist militarization of a nation starts small. Part of
fascism is military glorification. CNN is helping to usher in more
militarization by making it part of our daily lives.
CNN has nothing to do with
journalism. They are part of the controlled information apparatus hidden under
the cloak of a journalism industry image. What they are doing is dangerous and
we must not comfortably accept this quietly. We must first become aware of how
little things like “titles” can affect the mindset of our citizens and when we
see steps being taken to slowly brainwash this nation into a fascist state we
must raise flags and warn our fellow citizens. Don’t overlook this little flag
because it is bigger than you think when you look at the big picture. Think
about it! – Jesse, Editor, TvNewsLIES.org
