FOOD FOR THOUGHT: If every
subscriber to this mailing list donated $1
per week our minimum financial needs would be met. If we doubled the size
of our list it would only take $0.50 per week. Being financed to this point
would mean that TvNewsLIES could pay for it’s overhead and any money over this amount could go
towards hiring reporters and expanding the new radio program. It would also
allow TvNewsLIES could repay my original
investment so that I can do things like pay the rent and buy food! Just something to think about. http://tvnewslies.org/html/an_urgent_message.html
Editor’s Comments - http://tvnewslies.org/blog

TVNL Editor's
Comments: What is going on, or I should say not going
on in New Orleans comes as no surprise
to me. I have said this before and I’ll say it again; it is in the best
interest of the financial elite in this nation to let New Orleans rot for a
while. This will create a situation where poor or I should say non-rich
people, can not afford to keep their property. Then, the banks and
financially well of (& the corporations), can acquire property at a
fraction of its potential value.
Again we have another example of an “I told you so”
coming true. Before Bush took office many people warned the rest that he
would be a president for the corporations and the financial elite. Well…that
was an understatement for sure! Wouldn’t you say? Think about it! – Jesse, Editor,
TvNewsLIES.org
QUESTION: Have you forwarded this e-mail to anyone today? Consider
doing so for you will be helping to inform the people of this nation about
the vital issues that are hidden from them by our corporate media. Make this
nation a better place, educate, inform and enlighten your fellow citizens!
If you
believe that the American corporate media are our greatest enemy let the
people know how you feel.

the United

the Yusufiyah district southwest of Baghdad Dec. 10.

9/11
News
: http://www.tvnewslies.org/news/#911
|
· 9-11 Commission dealt with several issues by simply
ignoring them - In the six months
before 9-11, Federal Aviation Administration senior officials received 52
intelligence briefings regarding threats from Al Qaeda, warnings that
mentioned hijacking, according to a commission staff study. The study was not
part of the final commission report. The Bush administration blocked release
of that information until after the 2004 election, and well after publication
of the final commission report.
· The Bloomberg administration's fight for 9-11 secrecy - His administration fought hard to keep the
public from seeing those oral histories or hearing the tapes of FDNY dispatch
radio.

CONGRESS : http://www.tvnewslies.org/news/#congress
|
· Former Sen. Eugene McCarthy, who challenged LBJ, dies at
89 - Former Minnesota Sen. Eugene
J. McCarthy, whose insurgent campaign toppled a sitting president in 1968 and
forced the Democratic Party to take seriously his message against the Vietnam
War, died Saturday. He was 89.

DOMESTIC : http://www.tvnewslies.org/news/#domestic
|
· Death of an American City - We said this wouldn't happen. President Bush
said it wouldn't happen. He stood in Jackson Square and said, "There is no way to imagine America without New Orleans." But it has been over three months since
Hurricane Katrina struck and the city is in complete shambles.
· Drowned city cuts its poor adrift - The
waters have receded but the mainly black, low-income citizens of New Orleans
are now the victims of rising rents, forced evictions and plans that favour the better off, reports Peter Beaumont
TVNL Comment: We said this would happen. We said that this was the reason
that federal aid did not arrive. We said that this was the plan all along.
· Rogue State? US Spurns Treaty After Treaty - While the vast majority of the world's
governments support these treaties, as well as other U.N. diplomatic efforts
and conventions, the U.S. government can almost be expected to stand in
opposition each time such treaty proceedings arise. - "It sends the message that the United States has been the biggest violator
and thrasher of international law in the post-war period,"
· Staff Opinions Banned In Voting Rights Cases - The Justice Department has barred staff
attorneys from offering recommendations in major Voting Rights Act cases,
marking a significant change in the procedures meant to insulate such decisions from politics, congressional
aides and current and former employees familiar with the issue said.
· Live Tracking of Mobile Phones Prompts
Court Fights on Privacy - The rulings, issued by magistrate judges in New
York, Texas and Maryland, underscore the growing debate over privacy rights
and government surveillance in the digital age.

ENVIRONMENT : http://www.tvnewslies.org/news/#environment
|
· Record Drought Cripples Life Along the
Amazon - The Amazon River basin, the world's largest rain forest, is
grappling with a devastating drought that in some areas is the worst since
record keeping began a century ago. It has evaporated whole lagoons and
kindled forest fires, killed off fish and crops, stranded boats and the
villagers who travel by them, brought disease and wreaked economic havoc.

· Family
Upset Over Marine's Body Arriving As Freight - A local family said fallen

· Military's Information War Is Vast and Often Secretive - While the United States does not ban the distribution of government
propaganda overseas, as it does domestically, the Government Accountability
Office said in a recent report that lack of attribution could undermine the
credibility of news videos. In finding that video news releases by the Bush
administration that appeared on American television were improper, the G.A.O.
said that such articles "are no longer purely factual" because
"the essential fact of attribution is missing."

Murdoch and controls an influential number of voting shares in the company.

not the greens they used to be. If you're eating them for minerals and
vitamin A, be aware that the vitamin A content has fallen from 6500 IUs to 3800 IUs.
