Journalism: jer-nal-i-zm - : writing characterized by a direct presentation of facts or description of events without an attempt at interpretation and without opinion.

News: 'nüz, 'nyüz - A report of recent events

Today's establishment media practice very little journalism and devote minimal resources to reporting actual news. Instead they have become a mechanism with which to create and maintain public perception. They spend most of their resources presenting the public with a false reality while distracting them from the most important issues facing our world.

For all practical purposes it is safe to say that the reality portrayed by the establishment media bares little resemblance to the actual world in which we live. This is not theory but is documented reality that becomes clear to anyone who cares to pay attention. An easy way to think of this is that the people in the establishment media are holding up an orange for your viewing while telling you that it is an apple. TvNewsLIES.org simply taps you on the shoulder and points out the fact that you are indeed looking at an orange. We don't simply "claim" that you are being lied to, we expose the lies as they are being told.

You don't have to believe us, you just have to believe your own common sense. We try to point out that this deception is taking place and we show you virtually every detail of the deception process. Once you become aware of what is happening, you will be better able to evaluate information and spot the deception for yourself. And, hopefully, as a result, you will be less likely to be fooled...by anyone in the establishment media!

Lies come in many forms: partial truths, selective facts, out-of-context quotes and information, partial historical perspective and outright misrepresentation of facts. It is easy to manipulate the public. If you become aware of the methods of deception you will be better prepared to sift through the propaganda to uncover the few facts that are actually made available by our broadcast our news media. Learn their tricks, stay on your toes and become a better informed (responsible) citizen

How much care is due a soldier with PTSD?
Thursday, 02 October 2008 16:43

The wife of a Fort Drum soldier says a once-a-month meeting with a doctor isn't enough for her husband who suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

The Peuchots were told that health facilities on Fort Drum were understaffed and that Spc. Peuchot could be seen only once a month, Mrs. Peuchot said. A request to seek off-post treatment was denied, she said.

Army probes possible chemical exposure
Tuesday, 30 September 2008 21:48

Army Secretary Pete Geren has agreed to investigate whether Indiana National Guardsmen were exposed to a carcinogen while protecting an Iraqi water pumping plant shortly after the U.S. invasion in 2003. A review panel appointed by Geren also will look at whether the Army's oversight of a private contractor that operated the Iraq water plant was sufficient and whether the military's medical screenings of soldiers were adequate.

Although the toxic exposure happened five years ago, Indiana Adjutant Gen. R. Martin Umbarger was not notified of it until June, in a phone call from U.S. Sen. Byron Dorgan, a Democrat from North Dakota.

The Pentagon's new Africa command raises suspicions about U.S. motives
Monday, 29 September 2008 15:30

The U.S. Africa Command, the Pentagon's first effort to unite its counterterrorism, training and humanitarian operations on the continent, launches Wednesday amid questions at home about its mission and deep suspicions in Africa about its intentions. U.S. officials have billed the new command, known as Africom, as a sign of Africa's strategic importance, but many in Africa see it as an unwelcome expansion of the U.S.-led war on terrorism and a bid to secure greater access to the continent's vast oil resources.

An atheist soldier says in a federal lawsuit that his superiors required him to be present for Christian prayers, and that the military allows fundamentalist Christians to proselytize.

Spc. Dustin Chalker, a combat medic with an engineering battalion, alleges he was required to attend three events from December 2007 to May 2008 at Fort Riley in which Christian prayers were delivered. Chalker has served in Iraq and Korea.

Air Force, Army Discipline 17 For Improper Fuse Shipment
Friday, 26 September 2008 23:41

The Air Force yesterday announced disciplinary actions against 15 officers -- six generals and nine colonels -- in connection with the mistaken shipment of four nuclear missile fuses to Taiwan in 2006, while the Army said it counseled two generals who had oversight of part of the faulty supply system.

One of the most severe punishments was a letter of reprimand sent to Air Force Lt. Gen. Kevin J. Sullivan, Air Force deputy chief of staff for logistics, for his failure to act to correct "systemic issues in ICBM [intercontinental ballistic missile] logistics," according to an Air Force statement.

Friday, 26 September 2008 12:47

For the first time ever, the US military is deploying an active duty regular Army combat unit for full-time use inside the United States to deal with emergencies, including potential civil unrest.

Beginning on October 1, the First Brigade Combat Team of the Third Division will be placed under the command of US Army North, the Army’s component of the Pentagon’s Northern Command (NorthCom), which was created in the wake of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks with the stated mission of defending the US "homeland" and aiding federal, state and local authorities.

Army investigating possible chemical exposure
Wednesday, 24 September 2008 10:14

The Army will complete an investigation within 60 days into whether Indiana National Guardsmen and other soldiers providing protection at a water pumping plant in Iraq in 2003 were exposed to a deadly chemical.

Army Secretary Pete Geren said in a letter to Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh that the “senior level” review will look at the Army’s procedures for handling hazardous exposure, the actions taken to follow up with those who may have been exposed and whether the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers properly oversaw contract work by Kellogg, Brown and Root Services.
