TVNL Editor's Comments: Do the TV news networks have Internet access? Have they read what is being written even by mainstream corporate media? To the people on MSNBC TV read their own website? Will they join reality and dare to mention anything that makes the Bush administration look bad, or I should say look as bad as they are?

To my surprise mainstream Internet news sites are actually reporting on how the Iraq war and Bush’s budget cuts have resulted in Katrina taking a far greater toll than it had to. As I mentioned several days ago Bush’s budget actually cut funding for much needed upgrades of the levis and pumping stations in New Orleans. The money was redirected to destroy Iraq at the financial behest of the war profiteers and oil industry as well as PNAC. The national guard, who have always been here to help out with rescue operations and with security (looting and crime control) during natural disasters are watching their friends and neighbors suffer through this disaster from Iraq.

Hurricane Katrina is exactly why many men and women join the national guard. Building levis to protect us from floods is exactly why we pay taxes. This is so obvious that the mainstream media had to come clean, at least on the Internet, where most people who are already well informed can see them. Now how about informing the uninformed people who rely on TV for their un-information? Think about it! Jesse, Editor, TvNewsLIES.org

SPECIAL NOTE TO OUR FRIENDS DOWN SOUTH: My thoughts are with all the victims of Katrina. I wish you all a peaceful resolution to your trying situation.

QUESTION: Have you forwarded this e-mail to anyone today? Consider doing so for you will be helping to inform the people of this nation about the vital issues that are hidden from them by our corporate media. Make this nation a better place, educate, inform and enlighten your fellow citizens!

If you believe that the American corporate media are our greatest enemy let the people know how you feel.

POLITICS : http://www.tvnewslies.org/news#politics

· Waiting for a Leader - George W. Bush gave one of the worst speeches of his life yesterday, especially given the level of national distress and the need for words of consolation and wisdom. In what seems to be a ritual in this administration, the president appeared a day later than he was needed. He then read an address of a quality more appropriate for an Arbor Day celebration: a long laundry list of pounds of ice, generators and blankets delivered to the stricken Gulf Coast. He advised the public that anybody who wanted to help should send cash, grinned, and promised that everything would work out in the end.

· Bush and Katrina: A time for action, not aloofness - Katrina already is measured as one of the worst storms in American history. And yet, President Bush decided that his plans to commemorate the 60th anniversary of VJ Day with a speech were more pressing than responding to the carnage.

· Poll: Oil spike blamed on Bush, big Oil - Over two-thirds of Americans say high gas prices are causing financial pains, and they blame Bush.

TVNL Comment: This is all by design. The end of the middle class is here.

· Most of us can't get ahead - More than half of Americans surveyed say their family income is falling behind the cost of living, and another third say they are just keeping up with higher living costs, a poll commissioned by the AFL-CIO says.

· Teacher and war mom fired for discussing protest crusades for vets - Deb Mayer was fired when one of her fourth grade students told a parent Mayer was encouraging students to protest the pending invasion of Iraq. Mayer says she was discussing a current events reading assignment from a Time Magazine issue for children on Iraq, including a section on antiwar demonstrations; a child asked her if she would march in a protest, and Mayer replied by discussing peaceful alternatives to war.
TVNL Comment: Would she have been fired if she was asking students to go to a pro-war rally?

· U.S. Won't Relocate Soldiers for Katrina - Lt. Col. Trey Cate said top military officials are exploring ways to bring individual troops home to take care of families in need without altering the balance of forces in the war zones.
TVNL Comment: Exporing ways? Just wait a while as we think about it, OK?

· Pentagon Inspector General Quits - Schmitz is going to be the chief operating officer and general counsel for the Prince Group, according to another defense official who discussed the matter only on condition of anonymity. One of Prince Group's subsidiaries is Blackwater USA, which is under Defense Department contract to provide security services in Iraq.

· US orders 10,000 more Guard troops to storm region - The U.S. military will send another 10,000 National Guard troops to Louisiana and Mississippi by Friday night, bringing to 21,000 the total number deployed in the four Gulf states battered by Hurricane Katrina, a senior Army general said on Thursday.

EDITORIAL : http://www.tvnewslies.org/news/#editorial

· Why abortion rate is up in Bush years - Abortion was decreasing. When President Bush took office, the nation's abortion rates were at a 24-year low, after a 17.4 percent decline during the 1990s. This was a steady decrease averaging 1.7 percent per year. - Under Bush, the decade-long trend of declining abortion rates appears to have reversed. Given the trends of the 1990s, 52,000 more abortions occurred in the United States in 2002 than would have been expected before this change of direction. - For anyone familiar with why most women have abortions, this is no surprise:

· How New Orleans Was Lost - Chalk up the city of New Orleans as a cost of Bush's Iraq war. - Even worse, articles in the New Orleans Times-Picayune and public statements by emergency management chiefs in New Orleans make it clear that the Bush administration slashed the funding for the Corps of Engineers' projects to strengthen and raise the New Orleans levees and diverted the money to the Iraq war.

· HEY, GEORGE...HOW ABOUT TAKING A POLYGRAPH? - An employer can request an employee to submit to a polygraph test if "the test is being administered in connection with an ongoing investigation.” Employee Polygraph Protection Act (EPPA). 1988. Applicable to George W. Bush, Public Servant, USA.

JOURNALISM & MEDIA : http://www.tvnewslies.org/news/#media

· US to hold Reuters cameraman for six months - A Reuters cameraman being held without charge in Baghdad's notorious Abu Ghraib prison is to be detained for a further six months while the US military reviews his case.

· MSM Refuses to Poll on Impeachment - The latest Washington Post/ABC News poll was published today, and despite record-low approval ratings for Bush (45%), there was no question on impeachment.

· Pot, Kettle, Black: State Department Tells Us How to Identify Misinformation - Why should we listen to a government that puts out fake news casts and in many cases controls the information we see on our nightly news? More and more people are turning off the TV and coming to us for their news because they know what we report is more accurate and better researched.

HEALTH & SCIENCE : http://www.tvnewslies.org/news/#health

· FDA Official Quits Over Plan B Pill Delay - A high-ranking Food and Drug Administration official resigned Wednesday in protest of the agency's refusal to allow over-the-counter sales of emergency contraception. - "I can no longer serve as staff when scientific and clinical evidence, fully evaluated and recommended for approval by the professional staff here, has been overruled," wrote Wood, who also was assistant commissioner for women's health. "The recent decision announced by the Commissioner about emergency contraception, which continues to limit women's access to a product that would reduce unintended pregnancies and reduce abortions, is contrary to my core commitment to improving and advancing women's health."

· What does 'natural' and 'organic' mean on a cosmetic label? - Have you ever bought a cosmetic that you were assured was natural, only to get it home, read the label and wonder what on earth those long names were? Miessence believes it's about time consumers were given the power to make informed choices regarding their personal care.

HUMAN RIGHTS WATCH : http://www.tvnewslies.org/news/#rights

OF INTEREST : http://www.tvnewslies.org/news/#interest

· Pope tells Catholics to multiply - Pope Benedict XVI told Catholics to have more babies "for the good of society," saying that some countries were being sapped of energy because of low birth rates.
TVNL Comment: Does this Pope realize that "God's" Earth can not sustain much more human life? The carbon fuel alone that issued by each human being contributes to global warming. We are displacing and causing the extinction of animals by consuming their natural habitats. We can't feed all the people who are alive today and the Pope wants to add to that problem? Insanity is the only way to describe this.

· Folding Canada & Mexico into the US...on CNN!!! VIDEO - Notice that Dobbs mentions that this idea is coming from the Council on Foreign Relations but he never explains who they are!

· Roster of CFR/Trilateral Commission Members - Old list but still somewhat current. - Members of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission dominate key positions in America's government, military, industries, media outlets and educational foundations and institutions. The following is a partial list of current CFR members and the positions of influence they hold in society. The CFR's membership is limited to 3,000, and there are only 325 Trilateral Commission members.
TVNL Comment: Note the members of the media included. Why are these journalists part of an organization planning foreign policy and why don't they tell us this when they introduce themselves as journalists, who are supposed to be non-bias and impartial. They are not supposed to be involved in the stories that they are reporting or intentionally not reporting!!!

· Council on Foreign Relations - The reason so little is known about CFR is that many key members of the media are members of this secret organization. They can't tell ! - In his 1979 memoir, With No Apologies, Senator Barry Goldwater noted: "When a new President comes on board, there is a great turnover in personnel but no change in policy. Example: During the Nixon years Henry Kissinger, CFR member and Nelson Rockefeller's protégé, was in charge of foreign policy. When Jimmy Carter was elected, Kissinger was replaced by Zbigniew Brzezinski, CFR member and David Rockefeller's protégé." - That pattern has continued. The Clinton administration was loaded with over 400 CFR members; the Bush team, it appears will match that. Top Bush picks such as Cheney, Powell, Rumsfeld, Rice, Zoellick, and Chao are all Pratt House veterans. One of the first persons Colin Powell officially received as Secretary of State was Frank Carlucci, who recently chaired the CFR's panel on restructuring the State Department. The party labels may have changed, but don't expect a substantive change in policies.

· Scottish Police Chief Says Lockerbie Evidence Was Faked - The retired officer - of assistant chief constable rank or higher - has testified that the CIA planted the tiny fragment of circuit board crucial in convicting a Libyan for the 1989 mass murder of 270 people. - The officer, who was a member of the Association of Chief Police Officers Scotland, is supporting earlier claims by a former CIA agent that his bosses "wrote the script" to incriminate Libya.

· Chemtrails Coming Out Of The Closet? - Introduced in the US Senate on March 1, 2005, Bill S517 calls for a US "Weather Modification Advisory and Research Board" to officially commence operations in October 2005. When passed as expected, this law will make large-scale chemical alteration of the atmosphere legal across a formerly free and beautiful land called America.
