TVNL Editor's Comments: The 4th anniversary of the events of September 11, 2001, will take place this Sunday. For over a year I was a true believer in the official story as put forth by our government and corporate media, explaining the events, or at least some aspects of the events of that day. It was only after I started TvNewsLIES.org in response to the outright lies told by the media regarding the invasion of Iraq, that I started noticing a similar, if not more drastic pattern of deception by our media regarding the events of 9/11.

To this day there are many people, even many long time supporters of TvNewsLIES.org and my close personal friends who refuse to believe that there is a possibility of government complicity or cover up. Well let me tell you this, there is no doubt in my mind, after 4 years of research, that the official story is a fairy tale and that at the very least members of our government permitted the events to unfold as they did.

I defy anyone to continue to believe the official fairy tale after watching the DVD “Confronting the Evidence” or the recent hearings on the 9/11 Commission report held by Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney. Before you think this is a sales pitch to elicit donations…I do not offer these DVDs on my site. As a matter of fact I will be giving out free copies of Confronting the Evidence at ground zero this Sunday AM. As far as the McKinney hearings go, I will search ways to make this available to my readers for free. I will tell you that after watching the hearings there is no way in life a reasonable person will not understand that the official story is nothing more than a cover story, and a pretty bad one at that.

It is already way past the time that we remove from office the people who were involved in the acts of 9/11. But with each day of denial every person who remains complacent and unwilling to at least examine the evidence becomes more guilty in helping to protect the perpetrators of the events that changed the world. Think about it! – Jesse, Editor, TvNewsLIES.org

SPECIAL NOTE 9/11: For those of you who would like to meet me: I will be attending several events on 9/11 in New York. I will be at ground zero at approximately 8:30 AM handing out free “Confronting the Evidence” DVDs. Dylan Avery, writer and director of the DVD Loose Change, is also planning meeting me at ground zero, although I am not sure what time he will be there. If I have definitive information regarding my agenda for the day I will post it on my blog.

SPECIAL NOTE TO OUR FRIENDS DOWN SOUTH: My thoughts are with all the victims of Katrina. I wish you all a peaceful resolution to your trying situation.

QUESTION: Have you forwarded this e-mail to anyone today? Consider doing so for you will be helping to inform the people of this nation about the vital issues that are hidden from them by our corporate media. Make this nation a better place, educate, inform and enlighten your fellow citizens!

If you believe that the American corporate media are our greatest enemy let the people know how you feel.

· Money runs out on U.S. projects in Iraq - Security costs have cut into the funds available to complete some major infrastructure projects that were started under the $18.4 billion U.S. plan to rebuild Iraq. As a result, the United States has had to pare back some projects to only those deemed essential by the Iraqi government.

· UN raises alarm on death squads and torture in Iraq - The United Nations raised the alarm on Thursday about mounting violence in Iraq blamed on pro-government militias and urged the authorities to look into reports of systematic torture in police stations.

POLITICS : http://www.tvnewslies.org/news#politics

· After Katrina fiasco, time for Bush to go - We have a president who is apparently ill-informed, lackadaisical and narrow-minded, surrounded by oil baron cronies, religious fundamentalist crazies and right-wing extremists and ideologues. He has appointed officials who give incompetence new meaning, who replace the positive role of government with expensive baloney. - They rode into office in a highly contested election, spouting a message of bipartisanship but determined to undermine the federal government in every way but defense (and, after 9/11, one presumed, homeland security). One with Grover Norquist, they were determined to shrink Washington until it was "small enough to drown in a bathtub." Katrina has stripped the veil from this mean-spirited strategy, exposing the greed, mindlessness and sheer profiteering behind it. - It is time to hold them accountable - this ugly, troglodyte crowd of Capital Beltway insiders, rich lawyers, ideologues, incompetents and their strap-hangers should be tarred, feathered and ridden gracefully and mindfully out of Washington and returned to their caves, clubs in hand.

· Bush's response to disaster all too typical - Is George W. Bush a serious person? It's not a question to ask lightly of a decent man who holds the U.S. presidency, an office worthy of respect. But it must be asked. - he administration's continuing lack of accountability leaves it ill-equipped to meet equally serious future challenges sure to face America and the rest of the world.

· Cheney told to 'go fuck yourself' in Gulfport, Mississippi - During a discussion on hurricane relief efforts, an off camera protester shouts, "Go fuck yourself, Mr. Cheney. Go fuck yourself." - The camera remains on Cheney while we hear scuffling in the background. Cheney continues speaking.

· San Diego hospital closed to accommodate Bush visit; No chemo - The Naval Medical Center in San Diego's Balboa Park was shut down to accommodate a visit by President George W. Bush Aug. 30, RAW STORY has learned, forcing patients to cancel chemotherapy treatments and hundreds of scheduled patient visits.

· Truth-in-campaign law struck down - A state law prohibiting political candidates from lying about their opponents is an unconstitutional violation of free speech and chills political discourse, a state appeals court ruled yesterday.
TVNL Comment: Lying gets the legal green light for politicians!

ECONOMY : http://www.tvnewslies.org/news#economy

· Bush lifts wage rules for Katrina - President Bush issued an executive order Thursday allowing federal contractors rebuilding in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina to pay below the prevailing wage.

· Senator says oil firms hiking prices, taking record profits - In the first quarter of 2005, profits for the largest oil companies were up 25 percent compared to the same time last year, Johnson said. He said Exxon Mobile profits are up 44 percent over a year ago.

· Memos Show Oil Companies Closed Refineries To Hike Profits - Take this internal Texaco strategy memo: "The most critical factor facing the refining industry on the West Coast is the surplus of refining capacity, and the surplus gasoline production capacity.

9/11 News : http://www.tvnewslies.org/news/#911

· 9/11 a US plot, newspaper claims - The newspaper, called Mecca News, then promises that "in future editions we will uncover the rest of the questions which surround 9/11".

· Weldon doubts DoD on Able Danger - "For some reason, the bureaucracy in the Pentagon -- I mean the civilian bureaucracy -- didn't want this to get out," he said.

· Aftermath - What did the Bush administration know and when? Should airlines have been more prepared for 9/11? What ties did the US government have, if any, with the terrorists?

· Top Officials, Leaders State 9/11 Possibly an Inside Job - Each of these prominent leaders now claims that there are serious problems with the official government story of 9/11. Some of these highly respected individuals even believe that 9/11 may have been an inside job. It can be very uncomfortable to even consider the possibility that certain individuals within government were involved either in allowing the attacks to happen, or in some way facilitating them in order to forward their hidden agendas. Yet the facts increasingly point in that direction.

CONGRESS : http://www.tvnewslies.org/news/#congress

· Grand Jury Indicts PAC Connected to DeLay - A grand jury has indicted a political action committee formed by U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay and a Texas business group in connection with 2002 legislative campaign contributions.

· US Republicans say hurricane won't stop budget cuts - Republicans in Congress on Wednesday rejected calls by Democrats to suspend work on tax cuts, that would mainly benefit the rich, and spending reductions on social programs because of the huge costs of hurricane relief.

Martin. "General Frank Salzedo, chief of FEMA's Civil Security Division stated in a 1983 conference that he saw FEMA's role as a 'new frontier in the protection of individual and governmental leaders from assassination, and of civil and military installations from sabotage and/or attack, as well as prevention of dissident groups from gaining access to U.S. opinion, or a global audience in times of crisis.'"

· How Reliable Is Brown's Resume? - A TIME investigation reveals discrepancies in the FEMA chief's official biographies

· Leaders Lacking Disaster Experience - Five of eight top Federal Emergency Management Agency officials came to their posts with virtually no experience in handling disasters and now lead an agency whose ranks of seasoned crisis managers have thinned dramatically since the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

· None Dare Call It Stolen - Ohio, the election, and America's servile press - The report cites “massive and unprecedented voter irregularities and anomalies” throughout the state—wrongs, moreover, that were hardly random accidents. “In many cases,” the report says, “these irregularities were caused by intentional misconduct and illegal behavior, much of it involving Secretary of State J. Kenneth Blackwell, the co-chair of the Bush-Cheney campaign in Ohio.”

· Facts and Rumors: Federal Power in a State of Emergency - What's important to remember here is that misinformation is swirling, as is not unusual after unprecedented disasters.

· FEMA: Corrupt, Negligent, Criminal and In Charge - It has the power to suspend laws, move entire populations, arrest and detain citizens without a warrant and hold them without trial, it can seize property, food supplies, transportation systems, and can suspend the Constitution. Not only is it the most powerful entity in the United States, but it was not even created under Constitutional law by the Congress.

· UofL student's Web posting brings out Secret Service - Bailey wrote that many people in New Orleans were simply trying to find necessities to stay alive, and noted, "I say shoot every cop, national guard and politician who stands in your way, INCLUDING GEORGE W. BUSH if need be."

· Louisiana Guard soldiers heading home - 80 percent of New Orleans unit lost homes, jobs, relatives

· An Irate Soldier’s Open Letter Regarding George W. Bush - If you’re not pissed off, you’re not paying attention. - George Bush is going to go down in history as the President Who Destroyed America. - Oh sure, there were problems before he ever took office. Every nation has problems. But in the year 2000, the USA was at a fairly high point. The economy was growing. Science was moving forward. International relations were fairly good. The future looked bright. And then, an election was rigged, and a "President" who was never properly elected took office.

EDITORIAL : http://www.tvnewslies.org/news/#editorial

· No, this ain’t football! - Stand with the rest of America, and demand accountability from the people whom you rallied around, for so long- they owe you, at the very least, that much..."

· It's Not a 'Blame Game' - No administration could credibly investigate such an immense failure on its own watch. And we have learned through bitter experience - the Abu Ghraib nightmare is just one example - that when this administration begins an internal investigation, it means a whitewash in which no one important is held accountable and no real change occurs.
