TVNL Editor's Comments: White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan is taking a lot of flack for his blatant lies to the press corpse about the Plame case. Not that I want to give Scamming Scotty a break but the press corps(e) has a lot of explaining to do as well. Not only have they kept silent by not asking a single important question in 5 years but they have swallowed and reported the most obvious of lies about virtually every topic from tax reform to 9/11.

• MARINE DIES FROM IED - A Marine assigned to Regimental Combat Team 2, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), died of wounds received in an IED attack while conducting combat operations against the enemy in Karabilah during Operation Steel Curtain, Nov. 10.

• SOLDIERS ASSIGNED TO MARINE EXPEDITIONARY FORCE KILLED - Two Soldiers assigned to the 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), died of wounds received from small- arms fire while conducting combat operations against the enemy near Al Khalidiyah Nov. 10.

• Saddam's right-hand man dies - He died early Friday, the statement said, without giving more details. He was reportedly suffering from leukemia.Al-Douri, a Sunni, was one of Saddam's confidants who helpedthe now dissolved Baath party sweep to power in the 1960s.He was also alleged to be responsible for ethnic repressingagainst Kurds and Shiites.

In his Veterans Day remarks today at the Tobyhanna Army Depot near Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, President Bush and his staff broke all three rules, producing a strident speech that went on for almost 50 minutes, included a lengthy comparison of "Islamic radicalism" and "the ideology of communism," and concluded by attacking "some Democrats," while taking an implicit shot at "my opponent during the last election." She said that through fabrications of Zarqawi's status, influence and connections "the myth became the reality" -- a self-fulfilling prophecy.
