TVNL RADIO SHOW - http://tvnewslies.org/html/radio_show.html

Announcement: The Revere Radio Network has invited me to do a weekly program on their network. I will be doing a 1 hour program every Thursday night on their network. You can find out about the details here: http://www.revereradionetwork.com/phpBB2/schedule.php . The Monks Media program is still scheduled and we need you to support that program so all help is appreciated.

SPECIAL New York 9/11 Event February 11th: Thanks to the hard work and personal efforts of James Richards we will be holding a special public screening of Loose Change 2. This documentary about the events of 9/11 will surely convince you that the official conspiracy theory of 9/11 as told to us by the Bush/PNAC administration is nothing more than a series of lies and deceptions. NYC police and Firefighters are encouraged to attend as well as members of the media and the NYC Department of Justice. The screening will be in New York City at the Pioneer Theater on February 11th at 9:00 PM. A screening and discussion will be held. Refreshments will be served. Seating is limited. If you wish to reserve tickets write to jesse@tvnewslies.org. Admission is free but donations will be accepted. Donations will go towards reimbursing James Richards for the costs of the presentation. Additional donations will go towards 9/11 truth efforts.

ANNOUNCEMENT! We may be going off the air in January 2006 BUT YOU STILL HAVE TIME TO SAVE US!!! We (Monksmedia) need to raise $200 per program in order for Monks Media to break even. Please consider becoming a sponsor! You can advertise for as little as $50 per program or you can even buy a $10 shout out ad where we will read your personal message in the air. PLEASE ADVERTISE WITH US!!! Contact live@tvnewslies.org

TVNL RADIO SHOW ARCHIVE! You can listen to the show live or you can download the archived shows. The live programs are on Mondays at 12 noon ET! Spread the word! Tune in! You can call the show live, e-mail me or contact the show vie AOL Instant Messenger! I’ll post more information here but you can check out Monks Media Radio Network for information on how to listen! http://tvnewslies.org/html/radio_show.html or for the archive and schedule: http://www.monksmedia1.com/tvnews.php SPREAD THE WORD!

Monday, January 16th: Larisa Alexandrovna from RawStory.com will be our guest.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: If every subscriber to this mailing list donated $1 per week our minimum financial needs would be met. If we doubled the size of our list it would only take $0.50 per week. Being financed to this point would mean that TvNewsLIES could pay for it’s overhead and any money over this amount could go towards hiring reporters and expanding the new radio program. It would also allow TvNewsLIES could repay my original investment so that I can do things like pay the rent and buy food! Just something to think about. http://tvnewslies.org/html/an_urgent_message.html

Editor’s Comments - http://tvnewslies.org/blog

TVNL Editor's Comments: When peace groups become the enemy of the sate what does that tell you about the state? It seems to me that there is no doubt that our nation is securely in the hands of the military industrial complex. These people thrive on war, conflict & fear. People of peace are a threat to their agenda of greed.

When peace becomes a bad word and when intellectual thinkers are ridiculed by our leaders and their supporters, radical change is in order. Evil is wining the battle for control of United States and it a home grown evil, not the kind of evil our unquestioning radical American flag wavers have been tricked into believing. It’s time for change. Radical change; before it is too late! Think about it!– Jesse, Editor, TvNewsLIES.org

QUESTION: Have you forwarded this e-mail to anyone today? Consider doing so for you will be helping to inform the people of this nation about the vital issues that are hidden from them by our corporate media. Make this nation a better place, educate, inform and enlighten your fellow citizens!

If you believe that the American corporate media are our greatest enemy let the people know how you feel.

· Proof Bush Deceived America - James Risen’s State of War: the Secret History of the CIA and the Bush Administration, may hold bigger secrets than the disclosure that President George W. Bush authorized warrantless eavesdropping on Americans.

· Bush could seize absolute control of U.S. government - President George W. Bush has signed executive orders giving him sole authority to impose martial law, suspend habeas corpus and ignore the Posse Comitatus Act that prohibits deployment of U.S. troops on American streets. This would give him absolute dictatorial power over the government with no checks and balances.

· Re-Packaging The 9/11 Fairytale - And just like Humpty Dumpty, all the king's horses and all the king's men certainly can’t put the official story of 9/11 back together again. It’s a yarn that has already been decimated by the alternative media time and time again.

CONGRESS : http://www.tvnewslies.org/news/#congress

· Specter: If Bush Broke The Law With Warrantless Spying, Impeachment Is A Remedy - Today on ABC’s This Week, Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA) — who plans to hold hearings on Bush’s warrantless domestic spying program — upped the ante. He said that if it is determined that Bush broke the law, both impeachment and criminal prosecution are legitimate remedies:

· Only half those who voted for him in '04 would do so again, poll finds - A criminal indictment and continuing investigations have severely eroded support for U.S. Rep Tom DeLay in his district, most notably among Republicans who have voted for him before, according to a Houston Chronicle poll.

· Problem of Homelessness in Los Angeles and Its Environs Draws Renewed Calls for Attention - No other county in the country comes close - the five boroughs of New York have 48,155 homeless people, according to figures from its own census last year reported to the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development.
TVNL Comment: With this many people living on the street our leaders told us that it would be a better idea to spend our tax surplus on refunds for people making hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars every year. Where is the humanity in that? Where is the Christain ethic in that?

· Schools get Homeland Security funds for surveillance equipment - School properties in Guilford, Dover-Foxcroft, Milo and Greenville will be a lot more secure in the near future, thanks to a Homeland Security grant.
TVNL Comment: Can you say "police state?"

· Bush To Criminalize Protesters Under Patriot Act - George Bush wants to create the new criminal of "disruptor" who can be jailed for the crime of "disruptive behavior." A "little-noticed provision" in the latest version of the Patriot Act will empower Secret Service to charge protesters with a new crime of "disrupting major events including political conventions and the Olympics."

· The Stress of Guarding the Couch - Reservists and soldiers in the Guard, who constantly toggle between the civilian and military worlds, seem to have the hardest transition.
TVNL Comment: Yet the
US has no problem watchung our dedicated members of the military suffer with emotional stress. We have no problem uttering the phrase "homeless veteran!" We don't blink an eye when were hear about a VA hospital closing. Is this supporting the troops? There is more to supporting the troops than wearing a yellow ribbon.

· Another US Army Scandal - The article goes on to say that investigators were blocked from conducting their investigation, that the names of the American (could they have been Israeli?) interrogators were faked, and that no effort was made to identify the alleged interrogators despite explicit descriptions from the detainee.

· A hero scorned - What Thompson really deserved, and never got, is the hero's recognition afforded other national icons of moral courage, such as Rosa Parks. Not so much for his benefit as for the nation's. The mob mentality that took over at My Lai was an extreme manifestation of a common human instinct. It's just easier to go along with the crowd, rationalizing corrupt behavior, than it is to face the danger of stopping it. That was true at Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison and at corrupt Enron.
