For well over a year, civilian and military defense lawyers representing so-called "high-value detainees" at Guantanamo Bay were caught up in a secret Justice Department investigation. (The agency won't say whether the investigation is still ongoing.)

Can Guantanamo lawyers mount full and fair defenses of the 9/11 conspirators while under the pressures of a past or present DOJ investigation—and the threat of a future probe by the Pentagon itself, as some congressional Republicans have called for? We're about to find out.

On his MSNBC program Hardball this evening, Chris Matthews went on a well-founded  tirade against Donald Trump and his pandering to the uninformed, right wing Birthers who insist, despite all the evidence to the contrary, that Barack Obama is not an American.. Sadly, in doing so, he emerged once again as a gate keeper extraordinaire who trivializes and ridicules the near decade of research and discovery by members of the  9/11 Truth Movement.

In his attack against Donald Trump’s strategy of luring extreme right wing voters to back his possible run for president, Matthews claimed there was no difference between “Birthers” on the right and “Truthers’ on the left. Bullcrap, Chris.  Sheer, unadulterated bullcrap.

Starting Thursday, the Homeland Security Department will begin phasing out the nation's color-coded terror-threat system, ending it entirely by April 27, officials tell the Associated Press. The five-tiered warnings were created after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. The "national threat level" has not changed since 2006 -- yellow, or "elevated," the middle rating.

Dr. Farrer first became aware of the destruction of WTC 7 on 9/11 when he read a paper by Professor Steven Jones, first published in 2005, where he discusses the strange details and evidence surrounding that event, including evidence that iron or steel from the World Trade Center had been melted during the destruction.

This made no sense, given the official theory of what brought down the twin towers and WTC 7, since the temperature of office and jet fuel fires was at least 1000°F cooler than the melting point of iron. Farrer sought out Professor Jones to discuss this evidence further.
