Israeli forces killed at least eight people, including three women, in air strike on southern Lebanon, according to the country's Health Ministry.
In a statement, the ministry said the attack on the town of Deir Zahrani in the Nabatieh district left 19 others wounded, including five children and six women.
“The massacre committed by the Israeli enemy in a raid on the town of Deir Zahrani, Nabatieh district, at dawn on Sunday… resulted in eight martyrs, including three women, and 19 wounded, including five children and six women,” the ministry said.
Germany warns over Israel's advance into southern Lebanon.
erman Foreign Minister Johannes Wadephul has voiced concern over Israel's expanding ground offensive in southern Lebanon, warning that further escalation could deepen an already volatile crisis.
"The Israeli army's advance further into southern Lebanon is cause for serious concern," the statement said, adding: "Any further escalation will exacerbate the already tense situation and trigger new waves of displacement within Lebanon."
